⚠ BREAKING SHOW NEWS: Unfortunately, Marc Acardipane is sick and has almost totally lost the use of his voice. We have taken the decision to move THE OBLIVION SHOW EP039 - MARC ACARDIPANE, JOE ET, DOLPHIN until Friday December 29th, to allow him to get rest ahead of Thunderdome this weekend and be on top form for the new show date.

All New Blood submissions that have been entered will still be valid for the new date. Submission window will remain open until December 27th.

We wish Marc a speedy recovery and look forward to enjoying The Oblivion Show at full power together later in the month, this time exceptionally on a Friday evening.

We are honoured to welcome the legendary Marc Acardipane the Godfather of Hardcore, alongside Joe ET and Dolphin for a discussion on the past, present, and future of hardcore music on another special episode of the The Oblivion Show.

Renowned for his groundbreaking contributions, including the classic "We Have Arrived" released in 1990 under the alias Mescalinum United, considered by many as the first hardcore techno track. Acardipane's influence has undeniably shaped the hardcore techno scene.

With aliases like Mescalinum United, The Mover, and Marshall Masters, Acardipane's journey through the hardcore realm has been nothing short of iconic, including Acardipane's pivotal role in the Planet Core Productions (P*P) collective, adding yet another layer to the rich tapestry of hardcore history.

The significance of our ears cannot be overstated. In a recent survey, it was revealed that 60% of our followers had experienced hearing loss or tinnitus. Recognizing the gravity of this issue, which is often shrouded in taboo within our culture, we were determined to delve deeper into the subject.

Joining us for a special episode of The Oblivion Show was the esteemed Lecturer and Clinical Scientist in audiology, Dr. Alan Sanderson from Amplitude Hearing

In this episode, Joe ET was accompanied by electronic music virtuosos Noël Wessels, also known as DJ Hidden, and Greg Dolphin Official. Together, they co-hosted the show and engaged in a meaningful discussion on this pressing matter.

We covered several significant topics including understanding how the ear works, hearing loss & tinnitus, range of hearing, sensitivity, exposure and many different factors. It was a really enjoyable and interactive learning experience, and even performed some realtime mass hearing tests!

The visual representation for the superbly diverse Deathmachine - 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗱_𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘅𝗲𝘀 is a tribute to the artwork of the original "Beats, Bleeps & Breaks" (OBLIVION013) vinyl sleeve created by KaMart.

Her new take on the theme really captures the rave essence at the heart of the release, and its design is fitting and representative for every single one of the thirteen remixes on there from Deathmachine, Dolphin, Nagazaki , Inqoherent, Raββeat , Syprexa , ButterFist, Jacob, The Carnage Corps, Tones, Agent Zero, Havok and Disorder, and Roberrr.

Fresh off the back of the announcement of him featuring our Deathmachine remix EP, Raββeat drops an intense 2 hour journey of Industrial & Hardcore on the Oblivion podcast!

RABBeAT sets no boundaries between industrial techno and hardcore. His music is the expression of deep emotions carried by the violence of hardcore sounds.

He likes to contrast the coldness of metallic textures with the warmth of melancholic melodies.

He managed to build his signature sound through various genres within industrial tunes, but nevertheless we are talking about slower melodic techno or fast industrial hardcore, you will be able to recognise a RABBeAT creation from many.

You can listen to his work on established labels like Dark. Descent. or PRSPCT to mention a few.

His work is continuously supported by artists like Paula Temple, Somniac One, Kilbourne, Manu Le Malin, Tripped, Eye-D, DYEN and many more.

RABBeAT is a co-founder of Dystomnia, an international hard music label, and he is a former member of Stickzy, broadcasting weekly electronic music shows on the local FM.

He is also a resident of TFIF Events, a techno q***r collective based in Lyon.
