Had the opportunity to work with T-Mobile at their call center in Oakland, Maine on May 2, 2024. Provided trivia, music, MC, and working with speakers/presenters to give T-Mobiles the best of the best a great afternoon experience.

There’s a lot that goes into being a professional. I’ll never sell you on gear because high quality equipment is what I have… not what I do. What you are seeing here is a demonstration of what separates a professional DJ versus your amateurs and hobbyists. Don’t settle. Get the best your money can and lay back and relax. Great wedding vendors create a stress free wedding - full of life long memories.

Our new website is up, live, and running. We could use a little help though!

It's easy to get caught up in the finer details of a site and miss the big picture. If you have some time to check it out and just click around, you don't even need to have a method to it, and see if any of it looks weird, doesn't load, is hard to understand etc., that would be super helpful info.

The site is so fresh that Facebook isn't even loading the new tagline or homepage photo. But here is a link nonetheless and we want to thank you for taking a look... even if it's only for a minute or two.

Working on my website, an entire revamp, and have been putting together video content for it. I put this together because it's important to know that not all DJs are created equally. Back in August I spent 3.5 hours mixing in the garage to be prepped and knowledgable about the music I had never used before. To put that in perspective I started practicing my mixing in 2015.... Imagine the amount of time I have spent doing this. It is a craft....

"I started mixing in 2015 as I was late to the DJ game at 30 years old. Though fortunate to start with digital music tracks and not carrying vinyl the skill has required constant practice and attention. It wasn't until 2019, yes 4 years later, that you could see a dramatic change in my abilities. This is thanks to a couple of DJs in my life that wanted to teach me and understood the craftsmanship behind being a DJ and wanting to pass that along.

There are different ways to mix in songs with filters, effects, and the EQ's alone. As the years go on you develop a style that is yours and yours alone. For me I do a ton of weddings and have found that both the young and the "old" can appreciate riding the EQs to blend two songs together rather than dropping on the one, echo out, or anything else a DJ does.

This is not to say that I don't do those things... because a mix needs variety or it gets really boring to listen to. REALLY boring. A go-to outside of the EQ are echo-outs and the low pass filter.

As I have tried to hone my skills over the years it has been the past 6 months or so (as of October 2023) that focusing on the blends has become a thing. Recognizing your mids and lows... meshing different keys (which you're technically not supposed to do but it can be done well with the EQs) and so on.

Mixing is a journey and if you want the kind of dance floor that can be fun and exciting - a fade in and fade out from all the other DJs in Maine just won't cut it."

Had an awesome double header weekend and it all started with Meredith and Devin at Bayview Point Event Center | 15 Front Street on July 15, 2023. A huge thank you to Kristina at Purple Orchid, Weddings + Events for making everything so easy for the couple and us vendors!

Been working on doing Gig Logs and not only does this one show the cool space at 15 Front Street but also sheds light (pun intended) on what uplighting can do to a venue.

There are two big shout outs here:

1. Big 20 Bowling Center: Listen, this isn’t an everyday thing. I personally cannot thank Mike Walker and his mom enough for allowing us into the building when they were closed to the public to do this. I have such awesome memories about Big 20 and having gone to school with, and played in a bowling league with Mike, made this opportunity a thousand times more meaningful.

2. Chantal Paradis: for being a huge supporter of Bouchard Entertainment but also because the photos are badass. More importantly because the photos are badass. (Let’s be honest) This is a sneak peek to the public and the ones she allowed my wife and I to see in addition to are fantastic. I’m a giant child and she was able to get enough photos of me not being ridiculous - I cannot wait to see the rest.

Support local businesses. Local businesses make magic happen - they are the unsung heroes and true support of our communities. Without Mike and Chantal this would have never happened. Lifelong memories - literally.

May 2023 is just a couple of weeks away and part of our "offseason" goal was to make Bouchard Entertainment a better reflection of who we are. Not only have we re-written the entire homepage of our website but just finished up our 'Weddings' page.

There is a lot to unpack here but it's a solid read for the couples looking to book their DJ soon.

As DJs in Maine we don’t get opportunities like we had with and very often. They had a two day wedding - Traditional Indian and American weddings on memorial day weekend in 2022. We got to be part of both days and I’ll tell you what - Bollywood makes Pitbull wish he could make people move like that!
