Love what I do but always appreciated to hear when you’ve hit the mark.

From the moment we met Fleur, firstly through Zoom (those dreaded 2020 vibes), we knew we wanted her to be apart of our day. The sheer joy she felt through this process was infectious and made us so excited for our day. I knew we had “our person” when Fleur asked our colours in order to coordinate outfits for the day (you had our hearts then).

Not only was the lead up perfectly handled with fun tasks to find out more about us, the day took the cake! The way you told our story in a unique and heartfelt way still brings tears to our family and friends eyes. Our nerves fell as soon as we arrived at the end of the aisle which honestly felt like we were speaking with a close friend and truly allowed us to enjoy every minute.

We talk a lot to our guests from that day and for about 90% of the room, this was their first humanist ceremony!!! Your words and how you told our story made our day completely unique to us. We got to have a lottery between our guests for the signing of the register and sealed a memory box as part of our ceremony. Fleur made our day OURS.

Fleur, we love you. We appreciated how open you were to ideas while being honest enough to suggest tweaks to make our ceremony perfect. You are a super star and no one can do weddings like you!

Lots of Love,

Sam & Chris Herron-George ❤️]

What happy guys and a cracking choice of suits.

This wedding had so much going on, with their doggy ring bearer carrying down the rings they had hand forged themselves with each others birth stones embedded.

The epic cake swing and cutting during the ceremony (yes of course you can if you want!).

A beautiful hand fasting involving loved ones.

Finally, like the spice girls song ‘two become one’ we had a really special moment where the guests helped move their seats from two separate aisles to create one central aisle (see photos for set up). Daniel & Alan, walked in as two equals down their own aisles with their mums and walked out as a couple down their own aisle. That their guests were part of this happening was so symbolic and special. This is just something we made up for their day so definitely take the time to think about those entrance and exit moments and how you can make them yours. This was priceless.

Two genuinely lovely men, the ceremony atmosphere as electric and full of warmth.

What a treat.

I can’t wait to share the official photo’s from

Thank you and cheers Mr & Mr Yates-Brown.

With Dhol drummers, guests embracing each other cultural heritage and.

This was a story of finding that person you can truly be comfortable with, of being able to ignore the world outside, shut the door and just…be.

Pizza also featured fairly heavily, as did red flags but I can’t give away all the details on here.

I have to give a moment of appreciation to the guests whose reactions during the ceremony were so fantastic, full of joy and laughter. During the fire ritual and exchange of vows you could have heard a pin drop.

Brilliant.

Monday weddings for the win!

When everyone else was dreading Monday, Abie & Jonty were getting ready for one of the best days of their life.

The sun came out and was looking fantastic with all the handmade touches Abie had brought to the space.

With their young twins, this was never going to be a formal affair and we all enjoyed a relaxed ceremony with a lot of laughs and some baby wrangling by their two fantastic sets of parents.

I can’t tell@you why we are laughing in the first picture because it’s naughty! But let’s just say, Abie was following some excellent photography advice and the photos by certainly tell the tale.

A beautiful day for two lovely humans.

Congratulations 😊

Always such a compliment when someone you know asks you to be their celebrant so when dropped me a message it was always going to be a big yes.

A chilled city wedding full of family and children raising the roof with their support.

Vows to their incredibly behaved daughter and toast with Quaich and a surprise witness lottery brought the house down.

Velvet, hot pink and disco balls were the order of the day before heading off to the which I can’t wait to see pictures of 👀

This summer has been an insane one from a workload point of view and insta has had to take a back seat.

A most beautiful home wedding with a humble barn transformed into a space full of light and magic.

A lot of love and an army’s worth of support made it possible for this home wedding to happen in such spectacular fashion. The weather was scorching and not for those first time this year, I felt transported to the Med with the sunshine and colours on show.

Every single wedding is unique and as celebrants we never get tired of banging on about it and about how YOU TOO CAN HAVE THIS! Your own ‘knock it out of the park’ wedding day.

I felt really welcomed by the family on this particular day and was sad to leave but it’s always best to make a graceful exit stage left and leave everyone to enjoy the next part.

Cheers lovely people! 🥂

📸 (plus a couple of cheeky iPhone snaps by me)

I must give a shout-out to for the decor and transforming a functional barn into such a beautiful environment.

Congratulations you guys, your beaming smiles from ear to ear say it all.

Hands down the most sarcastic ceremony I’ve ever been a part of and it was an absolute riot.

With the grooms heckling each other throughout, this couldn’t have been more them if they tried. We all have our own love languages with our partners (these guys are no different) and their own special way was so funny. The upshot of this was that the really gentle moment’s then came at you like a sucker punch (in the best possible way).

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.

Home weddings = A winner!

Just look at that incredible view of Belfast Lough.

The guests were a delight and I have to give a special shout-out to the Mistress of Ceremonies who was both technical and emotional support on the day. I felt like I made a new friend.

Walking down the aisle with twin nephews and the dog, a haribo ring, puzzle rings, an illustration of a frog and a game of blankety blank. This was a ceremony that left me with a skip in my step and a twinkle in my eye.

Cheers to you both… with a bit of tolerance and a whole lot of love 😉 🥂

What can I say?

My last wedding of the year and what a way to sign off.

Orla is one of my old pupils from Musical Theatre summer productions of over ten years ago so being asked to be her & Conor’s celebrant was an absolute treat because I knew it was going to be quirky and a lot of fun. Also with a theatrical crowd in attendance you know you can really go for things.

Humanist weddings are all about embracing and celebrating who a couple are and showing that off to its best. This was no exception.

There’s not really the words to describe it, it really was one of those ‘you had to be there’ moments.

With their doggy ring bearer carrying a Dog Cam, I cannot wait to see that footage.

There was a hand fasting involving both sets of parents accompanied by a beautiful reading and the theme tune from ‘up’ on the harp there was magic in them there woods.

I was also a rare thing that day, a guest! It was actually really touching the number of people who came to talk excitedly about the ceremony afterwards, many for whom it was their first humanist ceremony experience.

These two humans truly are ‘two peas in a pot’.

Huzzah Mr & Mrs Cunningham!

Sometimes you are just so in tune with your partner it’s impossible to remember whose idea something was or else you end up finishing each others thoughts and ideas.

Chris & Sam are both so incredibly thoughtful and in sync with each other so the perfect choice as part of their ceremony was to celebrate with sealing a memory box.

With a surprise lottery to choose the witnesses as well it was a wedding full of surprise and delight 😊

Right from the start we knew that Fleur was the perfect person to marry us (though I’m sorry you didn’t get to whip out the can can outfit!) Fleur effortless combines warmth, professionalism and sheer joy, and her friendliness and attention to detail throughout our process was unrivalled - no stone was left unturned, and completed the process with a fabulous new friend.

On our day itself, every guest commented on how beautiful, inclusive and downright special the ceremony was - including Fleur’s rather brilliant French (and that outfit!) - and the fact that we were Fleur’s first same-s*x ceremony was the icing on the cake.

Fleur, you are an absolute superstar. It is our honour and privilege to have gotten to know you, and that you’ll forever be part of our life story is the cherry on top of the cake. You are an absolutely ray of light and joy!

Merci, merci, merci ❤️

Love a chic city wedding. It always feels fun & a bit like an episode of s*x & the city. Guests walking through town in their best dressed turning heads from everyone out doing their normal shopping. There’s something in the air.

The staff at couldn’t have been nicer & the stunning turquoise drapes created a beautiful & theatrical backdrop for the ceremony. The venue creates an intimate & up close space which always works for storytelling.

With their ring exchange & vows literally tied in with their hand fasting, Clare & Matthew were married in a relaxed & as requested ‘non cheesy!’ ceremony with a lot of laughs.

Although I do love a bit of cheese myself I appreciate that’s not for everyone & always work with my couples to give you what you want & deserve for your day.

To echo comments below. Clare really did look like a Holywood star when she entered the room!

Your wedding places you firmly front & centre on your wedding day so do it your own way with pride & your family & friends will have the best experience along with you.

Cheers to The Nugents, away now enjoying your honeymoon 😎

They say you never forget your first 😉

Although I’ve been a celebrant for a good few years now, with lots of rescheduling over the last two years this was actually my first same s*x ceremony. I couldn’t have been prouder than to officiate for these two truly lovely humans.

Entering to an acapella performance of ‘Precious Love’ there were huge smiles all round from the guests.

With a bi-lingual ceremony needed, I dusted off my French pronunciation to deliver a wedding with about a third French content (luckily my maman is Mauritian so I have a bit of an ear). The delight and kind laughter from Alexis’ family and friends whenever I attempted some phrases was so wonderful and it was brilliant to make sure they were included.

With an emotional hand fasting, the love in the room was front and centre.

I also may or may not have choreographed the first dance as a bit of a one off and loved every minute spent with them both. Can’t wait to see that footage…🕺🏽🕺🏽

Thankyou/merci for trusting me with your ceremony Mr & Mr/Monsieur et Monsieur Montgomery-Bugel. Wishing you both all the happiness 🥰

Emma is my first pupil I’ve ever married! 12 years ago she was in a youth musical theatre production I choreographed so when covid threw all their wedding plans up in the air I was so happy when she got in touch. What a treat!

Their Harry Potter inspired wedding suited them down to the ground.

When Emma excitedly said ‘can we perform our own unbreakable vow?’ I was so happy to be able to say YES!

Substituting magic for the power of words, a wand for wedding rings & fire for red ribbons this was a really powerful part of the ceremony.

So much fun but also filled with full on commitment.

Check out the grooms amazing wedding ring in the photo.

I’m also now the proud owner of my own mini wand ✨ 😊

What a cool day.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Whitla… always ❤️

Love is love

I want to marry you!! -

Well, I want to be your wedding celebrant and marry you... in that way.

As a celebrant accredited by Humanists UK I can help you plan the wedding ceremony of your dreams.

Legally recognised in Northern Ireland, your totally unique and bespoke service will be shaped by who you are as a couple not by any pre-existing and outdated script handed to you by a fusty organisation. I work mainly between Northern Ireland and London. However, if you want to get married on the shores of a beautiful beach somewhere, or halfway up a mountain I’m always up for a bit of travel!
