Been kinda quiet these days. I got my head stuck in producer land down in the sand (hehe well more like aspiring to be producer land)… thankfully some kind souls stopped and picked me up on the way. Shoutout to the D&B Academy for helping me out of the sand and into the path of the way of DnB… though I definitely learned 1001 ways not to make DnB myself prior to that 😂😂.

It’s 4 weeks into mentorship and this blows anything previous I’ve done out of the water..

Even check me on some of the sound design, as well as the overall production.

👻 DJ A-Jacked the places you’ve been and the places you’re going, we’re so proud of you and all you do! A real queen of the scene, A-Jacked has been a boss at Y Afterhours for years, and is a scene favourite and regular at festivals and frequently DJs at events in Edmonton.

🤩 A versatile DJ but especially known for her drum and bass, we’re really excited for her ventures in music production and that she’s been able to play her own music in sets recently, way to go A-Jacked, that’s not easy! She’s one mighty impressive human in all areas of her life, really.

We look forward to having her at A Very Vibin’ Halloween super sooooon!

Always here for the freeing all the s***s … and the fact that I ❤️s***s and I proudly wear this hat or my hoodie whenever I can … because it takes back the power of the word slt and gives it back to anyone who has had it used negatively against them at some point. To me being labelled a slt means that I am being called out for being sexually free - because most times it’s not because I have slept around that the term has been thrown at me. To me being a slt is something to be proud of, because I am a sexual power house of a female who has a pretty amazing super power (that almost all women can do; if they learn to let go of everything and truly give in to the moment at hand); and I should be able to be open and not shamed for that. It should be shared to those I wish to share it with. Always safely and with consent of course. It’s not something that disgusting or weird or shouldn’t be talked about because it’s to taboo .. living in a culture where people are shamed for enjoying pleasure and their bodies in a way that is healthy and meaningful to them: now that should be taboo. So I am here to call out all the s***s because I know a big part of why we slt it up is because we like how we feel; no matter what your definition of slutting it up actually is lol. And there should be no shame in that: so I am here to own that word, own your sexuality, own yourself as a sexual being that has desires and likes to make yourself feel good … and go out and keep doing what slurs do. Just keep on cu***ng 😂🫣. Don’t stop that and don’t stop being you. And if you see me wearing my I ❤️ s***s wear in public or dancing my puppet who I named “hi I’m s***s”… don’t be a creep about it. Be supportive and cool about it. (Which is more likely to get you laid anyways; just saying). ***s ***s ***s **ra ***shaming

It’s been a long year. Trying to learn all the things. I said a year ago I would play a track of mine live at Womp in 2024 after beginning my production journey right before Womp 2023.

I’ve been obsessed. Unable to not play with Ableton every single day since… I have learned so much. And still have so much more to learn. I heard that it’s best to finish as many tracks as you can to the best of your ability… I’ve aimed to finish every one I started, which is 2-3 a month over 12 months … an astronomical number to get to this one.

But I have managed to make my goal. And tonight I will play a track all my own that I am truly proud of, it is not perfect but it is so far from where I started a year ago it’s unbelievable. The best part is … I had some sage advice along this road from Justin Tyrell which I am ever so thankful for. He’s the real MVP and when he told me I have myself a tune with this track … well I worked very hard to hear those words from him. So thankyou JT for the friendship and encouragement without you this wouldn’t have happened.

See you tonight The Womp at 1am at the newly redesigned castle stage ..

It’s not perfect. But it’s a heck of a lot closer to where I want to be then where I was year ago. It’s progress not perfection after all.
