Little Monkey’s Marketplace is a parent and baby event where mums to be and new parents can gather a wealth of useful information, find out about activities within their local community and grab a baby bargain, all under one roof! The concept of Little Monkey’s Marketplace was created by four local mums who met through an ante-natal group in 2013. Between them, during their pregnancy and post-nata
l months, they managed to accumulate an impressive array of connections. They felt that this knowledge would be best shared for the benefit of other parents/parents-to-be. And so Little Monkey’s Marketplace was born – The one-stop social shop for parents! The Marketplace runs on a regular basis in the South Birmingham area and each event offers a selection of features…. Our Nearly New Market is where stall holders can sell on their outgrown baby and toddler items. These sellers are also local parents and they get to keep 100% of the profits made from their sales. Our events also give you the opportunity to connect with pre- and post-natal suppliers. In doing this we offer you the opportunity to find out about the abundance of parent and baby activities* available in your local area. These include activities for mum’s to be, such as pregnancy yoga, parent education and hypnobirthing, as well as activities for new parents including craft workshops, baby groups and baby friendly fitness classes. Whilst the structure of each event does differ slightly, demonstrations* will be a running theme. These can cover a range of pregnancy and parenting basics, such as yoga and baby massage, as well as play options for your little ones. Our Donation Station is our drop-off-and-go area for parents who would simply like to donate good quality items that they no longer need. Our team of mums will sell these items at future events and donate a percentage of the profits to a chosen charity of the month. In summary, Little Monkey’s Marketplace is a great opportunity to grab a bargain, learn something useful, and relax with other local parents over a selection of tasty refreshments.
