We're now sorted with our first headline act but we'll have to wait for the announcement for a little while.

Until then, please welcome the following bands joining us on the Friday...

Closing the Friday night as our aftershow is Kev Riddles' Baphomet! Famously the original bassist of iconic British Metal band Angel Witch, Kev Riddles celebrates their game changing eponymous debut with a set chock full of their timeless anthems.

Joining them are Nottingham grunge/punk act Unified Roots. Revealing a modern yet authentic take on bands like Sound garden and Nirvana, this underground band are as Sabbathesque as they are energetic.

Finally for today, we welcome Liverpudlian newcomers Carnal Rot for an early slot on Friday. Channelling gruesome acts such as Carcass, Impetigo and Morbid Angel, this up and coming Death metal band will be a filthy start to proceedings.

Returning for 2024, we at Funeral Fest 2024 once again bring you the best in the UK Underground Extreme scene! Featuring 20 diverse yet immensely talented acts from all over the country (and potentially beyond), we want to provide Barrow with one of the heaviest weekends of the year!

As mentioned a few days ago, Cash for Silence have unfortunately split up. Within hours of announcing their departure from the lineup, we received so many applications from great bands that the choice would have been insanely difficult to choose...

However, we are proud to announce rising Mancunian punks Rïot-eye to our opening slot on Friday 30th June! Not only rapid in their response to the ad, this band showcases an immensely energetic live show that will be a perfect start to a weekend of noise!

As many have already seen in the Mail article, Funeral Fest 2023 - Raging Speedhorn + Discharge are proud to announce our Friday aftershow band as Merseyside 80s worshippers Hollywood Ratz!

Lovingly paying tribute to the best of the hair metal era, the group (fronted by the amazing Kat Hinds) have cultivated a hefty selection of classic tracks from the likes of Motley Crue, Skid Row, La Guns, Danzig and Ozzy among many others.

After a long day of blastbeats, DBeats and big riffs, it's going to be great to sing along to the classics!

We are extremely proud to present the final lineup for Funeral Fest 2023! When we first started to consider a bigger Funeral Fest earlier this year, we had no idea it'd end up at this level of magnitude. We'd like to thank all of you who have shared the poster, bought tickets, applied to perform or otherwise supported us in this venture.

Closing Friday as that evening's aftershow are Derby's own bloodsoaked Blackened Thrash powerhouse, Devastator . Rapidly rising in the UK underground scene, this four piece are aggression incarnate, channelling bands such as Kreator, S***m, Motorhead and more.

Closing out Saturday as that evening's aftershow are local Motorhead tribute Motörbeard. Barrow's very own Lemmy and Co returns to charge through the hits and fan favourites to scream what's left of your lungs out to!

Finally, we are proud to introduce 70s style space rockers Dead Otter ! Where Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath come to meet, Dead Otter are a welcome dynamic shift from the aggression, championing intriguingly atmospheric prog Rock with instrumental hooks and bluesy leads.
