ous forms of Heavy Metal at Toronto clubs such as Velvet Underground and Rok Boutique in 2009 but the darker forms of electronic music kept creeping into his sets. After moving back to his native city of Ottawa later that same year, he sensed a gap in the genres represented in the Gothic / Industrial club scene and he decided to focus primarily on the EBM and Synthpop genres while occasionally throwing in some classics from Goth and Industrial. In 2009 - 2012, he recorded a podcast that featured weekly episodes of 1 hour mixes of the best new EBM and Synthpop in order to promote the genres of music in Ottawa and the rest of the world. In 2011 - 2013, he hosted a bi-weekly radio show on Carleton University's CKCU 93.1 FM called Future Pop which featured classics and new EBM and Synthpop. In 2009 - 2010, he promoted the monthly club night called La Danse Noire which was first held at Cafe Dekcuf and was then moved to Swizzles. In 2011 - 2012, he was a resident DJ during Ottawa's premier Gothic / Industrial club night, Death Disco. In 2011 - 2013, he was President of Ottawa Goth (formerly known as Ottawa Goth Syndicate), a local organization that hosted social events for the Gothic community and promoted Gothic subculture. With the group, he helped promote the two-day event Red Death Masquerade & The Aftermath and the monthly club night La Danse Macabre which promoted music from all genres within Gothic subculture. In 2017, DJ Reverie returned from hiatus and had the opportunity to guest DJ for the first time in over 3 years during The Outsider Collective's Retro Underground which occurs on the third Saturday of every month at Swizzles. He also re-launched his Positronic Radio podcast and branded it as and is now releasing a new episode every 2 weeks. DJ Reverie has had the opportunity to guest DJ in Montreal during Different Mode (Bar Passeport) and in Toronto during Neurodance (Neutral, Nocturne). DJ Reverie counts DJs such as Toronto's Osaze (Spike Fridays) and Lazarus (EBM Party, Synthpop Saturdays) as heavy influences in the music he spins and his mixing techniques.
