The rain will wipe away my remaining roses, petal by petal. This week I’ll cut back some things in the garden, and plant the bulbs that will burst from the earth with dreamy blooms in the spring.

I’m ready for the nearing winter season. For me, it’s as comfortable as a warm blanket and a cup of tea.

I went out in the garden yesterday, walked without my little companion, The Coop. Such is life.
My little garden brings me such joy. I grabbed a few clippings and went into the studio. I always gain much needed mental clarity and contentment thereafter. 🤍

Contrary to what may be popular opinion, I think green & white is a more fresh and modern look for spring than blue and white. 🙊

I added a hint of blue with the muscari (aren’t they delicious?) to my favorite variety of ranunculus. These beauties were grown by and Kimberley knows I wait every year for them.

I needed Deer Scram.
The rabbits had already gotten to some of my tulips so I made a beeline for for scram. If you’re wondering if Deer Scram fends off the rabbits, yes it does.

I smelled them as soon as I got out of my car. And then I saw them. The staff at FGV was putting out the pansies so naturally I walked the aisles to take in that first scent of spring. These orange ruffled pansies caught my eye. I remembered I had my favorite - leftovers! - in my studio. Ranunculus and hellebore, actually. I grabbed the rufflely girls and my scram and headed home.

Rabbits be damned. The scram is down, the tulips are safe 🙏🏻 and I get to create and enjoy this beauty for five seconds before heading in to pack. Ah well. Good enough for me.

The venue, was the perfect backdrop for burnt Orange tones and a teal runner to play off the very rad artwork. This was fun for me! And it all came together so well.
