I am so proud to be part of a community that actively participates! Last night, we had a great turnout at the Community Board 14 (CB14) meeting, followed by the Mayor's Office of Faith-Based & Community Partnerships and the Mayor's Office of Climate & Environmental Justice & Protection seminar this morning. Both events were well-attended, and we came ready with questions, concerns, and a willingness to learn and engage.

We are Rockaway Strong! Please remember to prepare an evacuation plan in case of emergencies. CB14 offers training opportunities, and the Mayor's Office also provides resources for preparedness. We all remember Hurricane Sandy, and while we hope to never face another disaster, it’s crucial that we are always prepared with a plan. Sending with love and peace ✌️🏽 always 1ROCK!

What a truly beautiful day that the Lord has made! I hope everyone had the chance to enjoy the lovely weather and made the most of this well-deserved day off. Today, we come together to honor and recognize the immense contributions and achievements of laborers who have shaped the American labor movement. Happy Labor Day to all!
