It’s 2025, so I thought I’d write up another little intro post, as I’ve been absent for a little while! Shello there! I’m Mist, and I’m a professional (and PADI-certified!) mermaid performer, actor, activist, storyteller, model, educator, cosplayer, and character entertainer! I co-own a character company called and create cosplay and original storytelling content on TikTok and Instagram!
✨I’ve been a mermaid at heart ever since I was a little guppy, but I got my official start in the mer community in 2016 and have been training and performing ever since.
✨Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to be featured at Renaissance Faires; events across the East Coast; as an aquarium and tank performer; and locally, nationally, and even internationally on television shows like “TLC’s Unpolished” and “Worst Cooks in America” as a mermaid, pirate, and faerie performer, as well features as on several news segments, articles, web series, and on TikTok.
✨Much of my focus as a mermaid performer is on edutainment, social justice, and childhood literacy! I am a staunch advocate for decolonial liberation, LGBTQ+ rights, bodily autonomy, disability justice, education reform, and dedicated to the ongoing practice of antiracism.
