Have you ever heard of a Sten? It's 'stag' and 'hen' mashed together, to create an inclusive celebration of both genders for the spouse-to-be, and we sparkled at our first one this year!

Though we've never had a bad reaction to our glitter and adhesive (touch wood!), skin can be sensitive, we get it!
If you're worried about a reaction, things like makeup primer and foundation create a good barrier so the glitter isn't sitting directly on the skin.
But if you're still feeling wary, we have a few body designs that will work for people with sensitive skin on their face - think chest, shoulders, hair and arms.
This combo of looks is a great example, take note!

I bloody love beauty and fashion - the fun, the dress up, the new, the old, the cultural - and the infinite possibilities that practising them gives us. We can transform through them for fun, choose to become a certain version of ourselves or transcend into someone entirely new.
But as a curly-headed mixed race gal in a fat body with dark chin hairs that will not give me a break, there is so much in beauty and fashion where I’m told: this is not for you, you do not fit, you must change, we can help you, buy this product!
Quite frankly, f**k that.
I am big, brash, loud. I wear pink tights with green skirts and green lipstick without a lick of foundation on my skin. I take up space by choosing to do all the ‘wrong’ things and I live for it.
I believe there is no set way someone should look, apply their makeup, do their hair, alter their body the way it already exists in the world. Yes, it can be easier to do these things, and you gotta do whatever you need to to survive. Ain’t no shame in that.
But it helps to know where all this s**t comes from. It doesn’t just simply exist. These rules have been formed over centuries of patriarchal, racist, hetrosexist, ableist bulls**t, bulls**t that gets rehashed in popular media over and over again. Bulls**t that we don’t necessarily have to buy into.
I’ve spent far too long shrinking myself, trying to fit. So I take what I want from beauty and fashion and leave the rest. Whaddaya say? Wanna make your own rules?
My mission: ✨ To free people from the obligation of beauty practices by creating space to play with them, subverting the need to conform to certain ideals. ✨To open up the world of beauty and fashion as one of curiosity and choice.
