What are your thoughts on the Tarot Wand?

Some youtube tarot readers either use a crystal or a wand to point out interesting symbols on cards, others have one in the background as an accessory. Whatever they are, I think they are really cool but mysterious.

Are they similar to a Jewish Yad, a ritual artifact so you don’t touch the cards? Perhaps they are useful for readers with fidgety hands so they hold a stick? Maybe the intention is similar to a magician and his magic wand, “nothing up my sleeve…presto! Your Twin Flame is a jerk!”
