Formal photos with your Bridesmaids

Let’s mix these formal groups shots up a little and make them informal. Your group photos don’t need to be too stiff and boring especially with your besties. They aren’t school photos they are a reflection of your relationship with your nearest of dearest. They should capture the fun, energy, and personality of your friendships.

Have a 2 hour drinks reception 🥂

If you want time to fit in your confetti shot, social time with your guests, group photo’s, room check and your couple shots without feeling rushed and overwhelmed then I would strongly advise a 2 hour drinks reception instead of 1.5 hours.

Provide your guests with drinks and canapes while they mingle and enjoy the atmosphere 🥂

When the light turns this sophisticated I’m going to get weirdly excited, come find you and strongly suggest you need your photos taken in this goddess type light right this minute. Golden hour provides the most flattering of light but there’s usually only a 5-10 minute window. I know you’ll thank me later.

I often focus on the Bride but never overlooking the Groom. Details of the Groom are of equal importance, regardless of how much most men are not the most comfortable being in front of the camera. I’ll make it easier by focusing on parts of the suit, taking the pressure off the Groom looking towards the camera.
