Okay! So here it goes.
I'm not one to fuss about things too much or dwell on things.
But when I saw this, I just felt the need to explain myself. When promoting My Little Things, I might use words such as "we" or "us" when referring to the brand, but in reality, it's a "I" and "me" situation.
Yes, my husband helps out when he can, when we make wooden items or large items, but other than that it's just myself, running around for stock, designing your bespoke items, replying to emails & WhatsApp messages, sorting out admin, sending & creating your invoices, doing your last minute orders, and everything in between that comes with sustaining a business.
Apart from that, which not many people know, I'm also working for a company AND I'm busy starting up another business. - it's going quite crazy!
Yes, I get it that your customer service comes first, but how am I as a business owner, mom of 2 and wife supposed to feel when we recieve these type of reviews. (Side Note; this client messaged us yesterday, on a Sunday, when we're closed) and I only had time to actually sit down and reply to all my messages once my back to back meetings were done and my kids were sorted.
Now, my returning and current clients know that I am busy and that I will reply to them as soon as possible. At the same time, I've got to make my clients feel at ease and that I'm not here to scam or run away with their money. This I can definitely assure you, our reviews might be on the low end but I can guarantee that I always aim to go above and beyond for my clients.
So with that being said, not just directing it to this specific review, but to anyone else. Please be mindful of small businesses, we do everything and anything to make sure our businesses stay afloat and that we can put food on the table and clothe our kids. You do not see the sleepless nights, dry eyes from starring at a PC screen for 12hrs +, or the blood, sweat & tears that go into your orders or items.
Please don't see this as a petty post, I've seen so many complaints about businesses who scam or produce subpar items and then get away with it but then the businesses who do really care and are legitimate from the get go, get crapped on.
Don't steal my hard work and 3 years of constant commitment to something I love. Be understanding and have patience.
