Ek wil vra dat julle asb julle hart sal oopmaak teenoor Thea Van Heerden en die gesin en hulle sal bystaan deur hierdie moeilike tyd.
Ons weet daar is nog baie kostes en emotionele tye wat op hulle wag. So enige hulp, groot of klein sal ongelooflik baie waardeer word.

As a child, I was always in the kitchen with my mother, admiring her hands and everything she created. There wasn’t a single meal that she gave us that wasn’t prepared with the utmost care, love and dedication. At the age of five, she taught me that art of creating.... creating a meal to feed plenty (to this very day, I still can not cook for only two people... there is always left-overs)... creating something beautiful to place next to my grandmothers china tea set. And of coarse, something sweet and fun to enjoy with my friends! In my matric year I cooked a five course meal with Quail meat and sweet peppers stuffed with flavoured couscous and a dreamy soft pastel yellow Lemon Sponge cake with home made lemon curd and Violas. And after that... I always dabbled in the kitchen. When my son was born I started making my own home made purity.... And later on, I started with fun and innovative lunch boxes.
Later in life I started doing functions, baked cakes and cupcakes for parties, anniversaries, engagements and even weddings! I have catered and set-up for a lot of companies over the years, amongst them was Standard bank, AgroChem, Nulandis, Waterberg Bio Sphere, In2Catering, Esona Boutique Wine Estate, Aan de Leisure Guesthouse, Laerskool Swellendam, Middelburg Chamber Of Commerce, GOTCH and many more. I have done so many beautiful weddings and even small ceremonies with just a few people. I have done extreme picnics on high stilted platforms and beautiful intimate proposals in a vineyard. So whatever your needs are, we can make your dream event happen. We have a large database of suppliers all over South Africa, and we can assist with everything, from a venue to a honeymoon in Thailand. And if we cannot get it, we try our best to find you the closest alternative to it!.
Recently I have picked up on how poorly our youth’s eating during the day and even the single ones, that’s either to lazy or to tired to cook. And that is why I decided on the Padkos & Pieknieks range for the every day person.
