Another one styled by our sister company Beanstalk Group using hires from us - have a peak!

We love a couple that adds their own personality to their day - and these two did just that.

Before we talk about our work (the decor/floral/catering aspects) - can we JUST talk about that dress please! Stunning!

Using plenty of warmer metallic hues (copper, gold, rose gold), we gave the table tops some real glitz to off-set the 100 year old oak beams in the roof of the main venue at Ou Stal Equestrian Estate outside Stellenbosch.

From these beams we also suspended a whole collection of white Victorian lanterns in a variety of sizes - to add interest and draw the eye upward in this double-volume space.

Florals were kept simple and fine - mostly in the form of swathes of gypsophela (babie's breath) while fairy lights in mason jars added an unexpected lighting element (and also one that works with the rustic character of the venue) to the setup inside.

The ceremony took place on the moat-surrounded island - after which guests headed inside for an evening of eating, dancing, laughter and merriment.

On a warm, summer's day we like to head to the beach in Cape Town.

For their wedding, this modern couple were no different - opting of an outdoor ceremony set outside on the helipad (complete with 'doorway to the ocean beyond') and a stylish white reception accented with florals of blush, greens, and lilac.

To lift and freshen - we added pops of mint green at each place setting in the form of a napkin in this colour.

Modern and clean; we continued the feel inside the restaurant with oversized fish bowl vases, mirrored elements and tiffany chairs in elegant white.

A fresh, summery feel for a fabulous couple

We wish them all the best.

Check it out!

At the time of this wedding, our floral and décor guru Gerrit wrote a touching post about the intensity and palpable sense of authenticity that pervaded the very air of the venue on the day of their wedding. These are two people truly in love, and we were not the only ones who could see it!

Alicia was unique, quirky and deliberately different in most of here choices - check out her DENIM and Lace Wedding Dress (complimented so beautifully by the particular shade of hair colour created by Flo from bang. over a period of several months prior - and also styled by her on the day)

They also opted for an al fresco option, choosing to dine under the stars on low pallet tables in a picnic-like setting. We brought in a dance floor for them to make the dancing on the lawn an easier task! This is also evident from the choice of bridal bouquet (a single wooden protea) and countless other quirks and choices throughout the day:

Just check out the ice cream truck we arranged for their desserts! We LOVE this - and don't get us started on the gorgeous images this made for - a fabulous job by Charlene Schreuder Photography.

All in all - this was a day celebrating the love two people hold for one another - and we feel honoured to have been a part of it.

Lush, bountiful florals in a strong colour scheme juxtaposed against the cool silver, crystal and mirrored base tones of the beautiful Kronenburg Estate venue just outside Paarl in the Cape Wine Region cultminate in a remarkably striking set of images of this wedding.

We made use of the stone striped cloths to add some modernity to the setting while still speaking to the character of the venue. Plenty of candles add romance and soft ambient lighting.

It was fashion icon Coco Chanel who advised that a lady look at herself in the mirror and then remove one accessory before eventually leaving the house.

There is a reason that this kind of "less is more" mantra has become part of her legacy - style is about knowing what to keep, and not about adding ever more elements in the hopes that one in the bunch would work!

This was the epitome of Yolandi's approach - with the dramatic cascading bouquet or masses of loosely gathered flowers making a comeback in the bridal arena of late, this bride absolutely stuck to her guns in wanting only a bunch of white tulips - and nothing else - and the photo's by the talented and lovely Debbie Lourens speak for themselves on how effective and sheek this choice turned out to be!

For a personal and sentimental touch, we added a vintage silver locket and chain containing a photo of the bride's deceased father - we incorporated it into the silk ribbon base of the bouquet.

Perfection.

Gorgeous!

Nicole was such a joy to work with - completely relaxed and open to suggestions at every stage of the process.

We combined some rose gold accents with the clean, fresh qualities of crystal to compliment the grey and silver base tones of this stunning venue.

Blush accents in the floral arrangements made Nicole's table settings "pop", while personal touches such as the suitcase brought to South Africa when Nicole's grandfather originally moved here from Europe (for guests to place gifts in) added warmth and meaning to their big day.

Some surprise elements such as the playful grass bunnies (on the buffet table and outside on the terrace tables) spoke of the whimsy of this bride's character.

As Ruby was residing abroad at the time of their wedding, Shane planned the entire thing with us - right down to requesting the use of Ruby's favourite flowers - tulips!

We started with all-white base tones in the table cloths and tiffany chairs, and accented the tables with a combination of contemporary elements (such as the Louis lanterns) and more rustic elements such as the mason jars for the loosely spaced florals.

The outdoor ceremony under the oak trees was followed by a canape service on the terrace while the couple went off for their photo session.

We absolutlety loved Ruby's dress, which we must make special mention of: a sheek, off-the-shoulder creation that cascaded down into gorgeous pleats and a train. Mariette hit the nail on the head when she compared it to flawless, white cake fondant - just fabulous!

This was followed by plenty of eating, drinking and merriment - after the glamorous bride was surprised (and delighted!) with the look of ther reception - which she saw for the first time upon entering the building!

We wish the lovely couple all the best - we loved creating this day for you.

Navy blue and gold make for decidedly royal feel at this wedding. To tie in the rustuc character of the venue, this couple chose to add our raw wooden underplates to their decor.

This was the look created by Beanstalk Group for the opening and soft launch of the magnificent 200-year old, freshly converted venue just outside Stellenbosch.

According to Gerrit, the exposed oak rafters in the building created a styling paradise: "It is near impossible to resist suspending something from these! We used dried branches gathered from the property to add an element of rustic charm to the decidedly glamorous rest of the decor, and incorporated fairy lights into the suspended branches as well as 4 fairy light curtains cascading around the main chandelier at the entrance to the venue - we wanted people to leave with a lasting impression and DRAMA was how we wanted to achieve a memory that would stick"

Mariette and her culinary team created a custom lip-smacking menu for guests to indulge in, and the evening ended with an address to the guests by Gerrit, followed by drinks, dancing and merriment - a night to be remembered by all.

Check out the mid-century meets vintage wedding of this stunning couple!

We complimented the rich neutrals, dark wood floors and mahogany tiffany chairs of the venue by adding gold elements, natural hessian runners trimmed with lace and an eclectic mix of elements to create conversation-starter centerpieces.

To balance all the rich tones and to add a little femininity, we made use of pops of pink in the florals.

Have a little peek at the navy and gold glory that is the "Royal Wedding" inspired look of Christolene and Llwellyn's Ou Stal Equestrian Estate wedding.

We paired gold candelabrae and tiffany chairs with navy and white linens. To tie the whole look in with the rustic character of the venue, we used our raw wooden underplates.
