This month marks 11 years since I opened The Mosaic Wedding Company. I actually cannot believe it’s been so long! When I first started out I had no idea where my journey would take me, and I was super nervous. I often wondered if I had made the right decision. There’s been ups & downs, tears & laughter, sore feet, an aching back, thousands of kilometers travelled, hundreds of thousands of flowers, what feels like a million hours of admin, friendships made, a lot of “what the f*ck moments” and it all lead me here, to today. I’m incredibly grateful to every single person who hired me to help plan their wedding. It’s a huge thing to put your trust in someone to pull off such a special once in a lifetime gig for all your friends and family. You have no idea how happy it makes a small business owner when they get an email that says “we loved our chat and would love to hire you as our planner” a little self high five and an awkward off rhythm dance move follows shortly from my side. Wedding Planning is 100% NOT what you see in the movies, it’s damn hard work with painfully long hours, but I really do love what I do. Thank you to every supplier who helps create magic for me every single time, your hard work does not go unnoticed. I have put up a couple of photos of some of the absolutely wonderful couples I have had the pleasure of planning for, you are all the reason my company made it passed it’s first year. Thank you ❤️

Today marks 10 years since I opened The Mosaic Wedding Company. I can’t actually believe it. I can’t describe the feeling of looking back at all those years and all those weddings. There are so many incredible memories. It’s quite something to start working with a complete stranger on one of the most important days of their lives, and by the time the wedding rolls around, you feel like you’ve known them forever. Not all planning goes smoothly though, it’s not like the JLo wedding rom com movies (even though they are my favourite thing to watch) It’s hard work, it’s long hours, it’s working with different personalities & trying to please everyone. It’s working on weekends & missing out on family & friends events. It’s being pulled in a million different directions and people thinking you know all the answers to everything. But it’s also working on beautiful events with incredibly talented people. It’s self high fiving once the wedding is over & it was a huge success. It’s learning about different religions & cultures. It’s about now having new friends all over the globe. I guess it’s a bit of everything all rolled into one. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, to every single couple who trusted me to help plan their day. I would not have 10 years behind my name if it wasn’t for all of you. I’ve made mistakes, sure, but I learnt from them and I continue to grind on. So thank you, I am eternally grateful for the support. To the suppliers who I work with, you are more than phenomenal, and I don’t have enough words to thank you for making my little company what it is. Now please excuse me while I go dry my eyes, because I’ve just made myself emotional ❤️
