CLIFTON 4th, Friday 5th, 11am, memorial celebration.

It is with great sadness that I pronounce the passing of the “ Father of Beach Traders”, Vincent Cedras, affectionately known as Vinna.

Vinna sadly passed away on Wednesday morning, after struggling with a severe stroke and complications that prevailed thereafter. He also sadly lost his dear wife Caren, two weeks earlier.

Vinna has been trading on Clifton and Camps Bay Beaches, since the age of 10 years old. He first traded with his dad, until he obtained his own trading permits. Vinna traded consistently for 50 years on the beach, first offering ice cream and cold drinks and then ventured into beach chairs and umbrellas.

Vinna was a gentle devout man of strong faith, who provided outstanding service to beach goers.

He was loved and admired by all the beach vendors, visitors and lifesavers.

Please join friends and family for a short memorial on the beach, as we pay our last respects for a man that has serviced beach goers for the last 50 years.

He is survived by his three adoring kids, close family and dear friends.

May Vinna’s beautiful Soul Rest in Peace.
