My three passions
Cooking.
I love to cook! I love to entertain! I have been cooking for as long as I can remember. Food is this amazing ephemeral art form that allows a chef to constantly be creative. I thrive on fresh produce and believe in flavour first. When you select the very best seasonal produce, you have to do very little to it for it to shine. Treat it with respect and you don't have to mask it in anything. Allow it to taste of what it is. This is my thought process behind creating menus for my clients as their private chef or events organiser.

I love a festival!
The energy at food festivals is palpable! I'm happiest in a crowd, cooking demo's in front of an audience and offering my services at festivals. My love for all things pork are well known in Cape Town, Book me for your festival.
Also available is Farina (Flour in Italian), Farina was born out of my obsession for fresh pasta. Three ingredients only! Amazing! And I want to share it with you at food festivals, markets or at your private event for friends and family.
My knives.
A chefs knife is an extension of his body. They're precious and we need to keep them in good nick. After many years of using knife bags that simply didn't "cut it", I decided to design and make my own. Portmanteau was founded on the premise that world class quality is primary and to use genuine South African leather and local leather craftsmen and is now available to you online.
