Watch who you take advice from!-ESPECIALLY when it comes to your career. There could be respected people in your life, who are even leaders in their own fields but when it comes to the career you are interested in, they have limited/no knowledge and definitely no experience in it- but they feel entitled to give you advice and discourage you from persevering and making it work. Be brave enough to be your own support system. Trust God with your plans firstly. But also learn to filter out peoples opinions. You may know family and friends like this. And what’s worse is society will expect you to respect older peoples opinions. Think of the worst case scenario. You take the wrong advice and don’t pursue something you have the talent/gift for. And you spend your life resenting others who are successful in it. But imagine you do sift out the noise and do what you want to do despite having to lean on yourself in hard times and even cut out people who are toxic. You will be content knowing you are doing what you are meant to do in life.
