The Backyard Ultra - running laps - sounds easy, but it isn't! This is one of those true tests of human endurance and one we enjoy being part of. Interested?!? Come experience it and achieve that PB's.

South Africa's flagship Backyard Ultra, the Van Gaalen Backyard Ultra - PTA, is shaping up to be an incredible event. Last year, we saw a record number of participants eager to go "just one more lap," and this year promises to be even bigger.

For those who don’t know, the Backyard Ultra (BYU) is a unique endurance race where runners complete a 6.7 km loop every hour, on the hour.

It’s not about speed — it’s about pacing, mindset, and testing how far you can truly go.

There are two race options available:
👉 R360 – Backyard Dabble: 5 laps or less
👉 R590 – Backyard Unlimited: 6 laps or more
