Was born in former USSR [Republic of Georgia] in 1979 and then moved to South Africa in 1995.He has been involved in Hip-Hop as a Graffiti artist and event promoter since 1998 and then in 2003 found his passion as a dj/turn

tablist. At an earlier stages he was involved in beat making on various beat programs, finished an advanced level of music producing in 2008 at Technics DJ Mix CLUB in Johannesburg South Africa. DJ KGB is one and only most talented DJ's Johannesburg had ever seen. DJ KGB been nominated in two categories(Promoter of the year and King of Gauteng) at South African Hip Hop Awards 2012

*HYPE magazine awards 2008 and 2009
*SONY 3D soccer FAN FEST 2010 on Mandela Square, Sandton

DJ KGB is official DJ for 3 piece Cape Town Underground group Archetypes who been featured in South African only Hip-Hop magazine "HYPE" and also were featured on many of the mix tape volumes. DJ KGB mixed Hype magazine session 26 which was out April/May 2009. DJ KGB did scratches on 2 intros of METRO FM radio shows: The Avenue with Glen and Umnati and Touch down with T-BO touch. DJ KGB did scratches on Zulu Boy’s second album. DJ KGB mixed Archetypes second EP “The boiling point”

DJ KGB came 3rd at 2008 DMC (DJ mix competition) Johannesburg heat finals which is worldwide known, after entering it for the first time and also performed @ 2009 JHB heat final, also performed at 2009,2010 JHB finals. DJ KGB in 2005-2006 was the resident DJ and promoter for monthly and then weekly event called “Forgotten Tuesday" As from 2008 he is the brainchild of HEAVY HITTERS.
