Producing an export quality nut is not an easy task, it takes effort, hard work, quality control, planning, and a team of passionate people giving their all to produce the highest quality product possible. A recipe that the team at Agristar knows all too well. You don't become one of the biggest macadamia producers in the world, simply by planting trees and watching it grow, no you cover ALL the bases, from planting to growing, to exporting, and yes all the way through to marketing your product and business. As a fully integrated farming business, Agristar contacted us to showcase their operations in the form of a corporate marketing video that explains everything that is Agristar, basically Our brief was to portray their farm in the entire context. From seedlings to packhouse and every aspect in between. Planting , irrigation, soil tests, machinery and one of Agristar’s most valued assets their staff. We needed to get video content the whole mac process. This required is to shoot in a lot of different environments and conditions with a lot of the shots being shoot as you go – a farm never stands still and we needed to improvise and adapt the way we shot as you only get a few minutes with a chosen subject. Being Agricultural Videographers in nelspruit is immensely rewarding and insightful. You get to meet the faces behind the product on the shelves. You learn basic food processes and get a view into the world of exports. Getting video content in an environment where we constantly meet new people and learn new things keeps it interesting and rewarding. Agriculture is synonomous with the lowveld and therefore it is one of the areas where we tend to specialize in. Working with the Agristar group has been a great journey thus far, and producing their corporate marketing video has definitely been one of the highlights
HL Halls and Sons CSI Video
As part of HL Halls and Son's social economic investment programmes they focus on the upliftment off local communities. By supporting them through various intiatives they create an environment where the living standards in surrounding communities is improved.
We were assigned to provide Halls with a video of one of their projects that they worked on. Shooting projects like these always open our eyes to the great work that is done in communities such as mattafin here this project took place.
JG Custom Knives
Digging in the archives today going back to shooting a promotional Video for JG Custom knives in Johannesburg in 2015. JG - Customs has grown exponentially since then and it just goes to show that its not only big corporates that benefit from Promotional videos these days but Small companies aswell.
Our passion is telling unique stories through video, such as the one of Jason Guthrie founder of JG Customs - from being a knife hobbyist to becoming a professional knife maker , his passion and love for the knives that he manufactures is something to behold. This video gives an insight into what it takes to produce high quality custom knives.

Below is a short bit of info on a video that we shot in Swaziland.
This is the Harps from Dalhart, Texas. A family who left everything behind in America to make a difference in the lives of other people.
As a family, they are involved with a project called Heart For Africa , an NGO that focuses on the upliftment and caring of orphaned Swazi children. The Harps loves delivering food and clothing in the surrounding communities, building relationships and tangibly seeing the impact Heart For Africa is making in this broken but beautiful place. They pray to breathe hope and love into the lives of the children at Project Canaan.
We were assigned to provide the Harp family with a short film that they could use to acquire funds towards their NGO. This meant that we had to travel to Swaziland for a few days to shoot some content for a short film. The work that is done at Heart for Africa makes a real change in the lives of many Swazi children. Our goal was to create a video that would not only inform people about what happens at Heart For Africa, but also so that people could open THEIR hearts for Africa. This video opened our eyes to the amazing things that can happen if people come together towards one common goal.
Isimangaliso Trail Challenge
We were assigned to do a short highlights reel of the 2018 Isimangaliso trail challenge set on the north coast of South Africa. Pristine beach running with beach and sea life in abundance! Isimangaliso is one of the most beautiful stretches of South African coast and with it being a protected area the opportunity to shoot here doesn't come your way everyday. All in all one spectacular setting!

What an Incredible event it turned out to be with Some of the most unique conditions and breathtaking scenery South Africa has to offer. Once again, the Journey from Lady Grey to Wartrail country club did not disappoint!
To date we feel this is one of our best race videos that we've shot and edited.
KMIA Enduro
We recently had the opportunity to film all the full throthle action at the annual KMIA enduro. Riders had to navigate dry dusty terrain on a scorching August morning. The technical riding was made more difficult with the amount of boulder hopping and off trail riding. All in all an action packed day shooting and editing in a high paced environment!
Moments of Mac Mac Ultra
The inaugural event in 2019. The Mac Mac ultra is a weekend of trail running in the Mpumalanga region of South Africa. Distances of 100 miles, 50 Miles and 48km are on offer for the athletes. The course Starts in Pilgrims rest and runners get an opportunity to run on historic land, Grassland and forests. With mac mac literally taking place in our backyard, it was such a coll opportunity to shoot and produce the event video. Shooting these 100 milers is hard work, it means staying awake and shooting around the clock. All in all it was an awesome weekend out showcasing the spectacular environment that we get to call home.
Mhoba Rum
Let’s first say this, Mhoba Rum has made our studio at Phonix Capture look like a liquor store more than once! It is quite intersesting to tell other clients visiting the studio after a Mhoba shoot that it is actually part of our work having Rum on our desks and in the studio cupboards! Working with Robert Greaves, master mind and head distiller at Mhoba Rum is exciting to say the least.
MHOBA Rum is the original South African small batch artisanal rum produced from their local Nkomazi sugarcane. Produced from sugar cane, MHOBA Rum is what is termed an agricultural rum from the French term “rhum agricole” as opposed to most traditional rum which is often mass produced from molasses, the by-product from refined sugar production. MHOBA Rum is 100% pot distilled and therefore what is termed Pure Single Rum, the rum equivalent of a Single Malt Whisky.
We were assigned to provide Robert with a marketing video for his rum, showcasing how the process works from Farm to Bottle. Shooting this was really unique as you don't get to see how something like rum is made, everyday. Sven played around with the song a bit to give the edit a more grungy vibe., which we feel worked very well.
Liqui-Moly Zwartkops festival of speed 2019 highlights
The Festival of speed at Zwartkops raceway has no shortage of full throttle madness. Liqui-Moly is a key sponsor for the event and we headed out to capture the event.
Singapore Garden Festival - African Thunder
Sven got the opportunity to travel to Singapore for the annual Singapore Garden Festival. He was assigned to document African Thunder, a garden which was the brainchild of World Renowned Landscape Artist and Garden Designer, Leon kluge. It is the Third time that Sven had to document his gardens abroad, and this time Leon's creation won the Best at Show award, a feat which is really impressive.
Semongkong Lodge
Armelle & Jonathan Halse took over the running of Semonkong Lodge, from the Frasers Trading Company, in 1990. The site on which the lodge stands, started by Syd Chaplain of Maluti Treks, was a favourite camping base for pony trekkers and fly fisherman looking to catch the famous brown or rainbow trout. Today, the lodge has grown to 23 stone and thatch rooms neatly positioned on the banks of the Maletsunyane River.
We got the opportunity to travel to the "kingdom in the sky" to showcase the beauty of the lodge and the magnificent area surrounding it. Semongkong has plenty of activities on offer to tourist wanting to get the blood pumping. From dangling down the worlds highest abseil to donkey pub crawling your way around semongkong village. Shooting in such an environment is always quite an expereince. We feel this video came out really well in terms of the visuals and the way in which the edit flows! Semongkong, we will be back!
