Exiting our villain era! 🦹‍♀️ Money, often portrayed as the villain in wedding planning, doesn't have to be the source of arguments and stress. In fact, creating – and sticking to – a wedding budget can be the key 🔑 to a smooth and satisfying wedding planning journey. Here’s my take on this hot-potato topic: • When you begin with your budget, it puts you in control of your wedding finances – instead of your expenses controlling you. • To save time and heartache, you should know how much you have to spend (which includes how many people you are able to invite) before you start venue hunting or choosing vendors. • Keep your heads and hearts focused on what is most important: your love for your partner. • There are ways to plan a beautiful wedding that do not involve massive credit card debt. For example, you could push your wedding date out a bit to give you longer to save. Or delay your honeymoon, allowing you time to save up for a special trip once your pockets have recovered from your wedding day. And / or you can choose not to spend money on things that aren’t a priority to you. • You do not want to start your married life in debt because you overspent on a single day.
