The past weekend we went to the Free State for a mini getaway. And on our trip back, we had the privilege of experiencing proper snow for the first time. We always miss the snow in the Free State, but this time, we finally got the chance. 🌨❄️☃️

We have the flu now, but that it besides the point. 😉

A few months ago, a nervous Jacques phoned me and informed me about his plan. A plan that involved him popping the question to Rachel, BUT, it had to be a surprise, and he had NO idea how he was going to be able to keep this a secret from Rachel for so long.

I, of course, was thrilled for this opportunity presenting itself, and immediately agreed to help Jacques with his plan. And, so, the planning started. We arranged a meeting with both Jacques and Rachel, and led Rachel under the impression that is was merely going to be a couple shoot in celebration of their anniversary.
There was an instant connection between the three of us, and Rachel was thrilled about Jacques’ suggestion for a couple shoot, and happily shared all her ideas with us. Little did she know what was really going on
A few weeks passed, and so came the big day. The excitement, and the nerves were tangible upon meeting the happy couple. Jacques planned a lovely picnic before the shoot, and after that it was onto the ‘couple’ session. 😉 All the while Rachel suspected nothing. About 20 minutes into the shoot, Jacques signaled me, and I knew, THIS IS IT! The big moment has finally arrived!
