What a great initiative from The Moon and Sixpence to organise this Bridgerton Ball! 🤩💃👗👑

We transported the guests from the entrance down to the garden games
The guests were thrilled, as the Carriage was a surprise “addition” to the menu of activities and entertainment on offer.

It looked like a lot of fun and we will definitely join next time!

Welcome Vreugde Kimon & Vreugde Knope!!

(Stable names are Kimona and Kaftan)

These are our two new carriage horses!! 🥳
They are Vlaam-perde, all the way from Vreugde perde, in Senekal.
They’re still young (4 and 5yo), broken to carriage and are now undergoing ridden training before we put them back in harness.

Can’t wait to see them in front of our beautiful carriages!!

Brubeck & Jethro were movie stars this weekend!

We did a night shoot with the Landau for a commercial and the boys were just fantastic!!
Such professionals!!

We left the yard at 18:30 and were back at 02:00 without any issues.

The crew was incredibly understanding of the horses: constantly asking us if what they ask for is possible; will it bother the horses; can we use the smoke machine; can we shine the light - will it blind them etc.etc…
For anyone who thinks that animals get abused on set: no chance. There is an SPCA and Animal welfare representative there during the entire shoot, watching every move, making sure animals are fed, watered and not over-worked.
We were very impressed at how the animals were respected!

Breathtaking views!!

Jethro and Brubeck were amazing in some tight, steep, challenging turns and incredibly patient throughout.
After un-harnessing, all the kids gave them carrots, which was really special and will make for some great pictures.
