Today is 50 years of Dark Side of the Moon. Released 1 March 1973.
Can you believe that this album is 50 years old? Do you own a copy and have you ever listened to it in full? I remember the myths and folklore around this album while growing up. For one, do you remember the story that it line up perfectly with the Wizard of Oz film, and did you try it?
Good music doesn't age, no matter the style or genre.

I'm going to start a new feature on the page where I share songs that mean a lot to me, and might be forgotten; since we do not hear them all that often anymore.

Remember that all the songs we share can be found within my DJ bag of tricks and we are always available to DJ and MC your next big (or small) event.

Here's something for the collectors.
Very rare 1970 withdrawn limited run of Jimi Hendrix - Band of Gypsys album.
This is the Scandinavian Polydor version of the very short run of albums. After the short run of the puppet cover, the album was withdrawn due to complaints from those depicted on the cover's record labels, and later re-released with the commonly known cover of Jimi playing guitar.
This release is very limited, with not many left in existence, especially in South Africa. I have never come across another one of these before, and I do not know if you will ever find another one again.
The cover has seen better days, and it is taped on the edges, and the bottom is torn. There is also some general damage to the cover and a few scratches on the vinyl, but the vinyl play fine with a bit of hiss and cracles here and there.
