A little lesson....
Tyson...
The day you where surrendered to us so small that Oumie could hold you in her lap all the way to the farm, I just lost my heart to you.
Given up because you started to grow up and your old family didnt want a "Big Pig" as for some reason they thought you would remain small. The p**p and piepie accidents where just to much for them.
I raised you in our house and on hot days you still prefer my bedroom.
Little soft boy Tyson. You will always have a home here, no matter your size.

Guys its so important to think before you do. Tyson is just another example of " The Puppy" phase. When we get a new puppy they are so sweet with the playing and sleeping and just overall idea of a puppy with the toffee breath. The they grow up, they get bigger, the p**p, they eat and get sick, and then all of the sudden they arnt so adorable anymore according to sum, they are old or easily replaced, so they are just abandond or given up. This also happens with farm animals, baby goats, baby pigs, baby horses, baby bunnies ect. Think before you do, all living things grow up.

Horses give you or the child you bought the horse for their best years of their lives, then the horse gets old or the child gets to big, you then replace and just forget about that huge heart that was once loved... they deserve better, they deserve to be looked after in their old days, not sold for nothing and then end up as meat at the slaughter house.

Think before you do!!!!

Galaxy!!! Happy Birthday sweet girl
Happy birthday stunning star, on 14 October 2024 you turned 9 years old ( yes your other mommy reminded me)
Galaxy is the most amazing young lady, she's always willing to assist in supervising in all farm duties, will take and keep the tools if she can, and with amazing skill somehow remove a marshmallow from my pocket without me knowing it and then just stroll away and once out of sight start eating it..lol.
You make me laugh everyday stunning girl.

Willow!!!
IF I FITS I SITS, and then stare into the unknown looking for Pia and my snacks,lol...

Ruby found her new home!!! O and a little suprise!!!!

Ruby went to her new Home last week friday, 2 young girls, a mommy and a daddy and 2 horse friends and a lovely big farm, o and just 5 min away from me, jippeee!!!!

And you all will not believe what Im going to tell you.... so Ruby has no udder and t***s, due to neglect and mistreatment and due to ticks. She came to MM from an amazing lady that nursed her back to health from early this year. Ruby also lost her eye.

She arrived in an amazing condition, and gained more weight at MM as we have mad skills, or so I thought, hahaha...

So 5 days after Ruby is adopted, I get a call at 21h30 in the evening, with " hey, so Ruby just had a baby" , shock, and more shock. The previous owner and I had no idea, there was no signs. Well ok wait, the fast weight gain but I mean we have mad skills at MM. Lol.

Little boy, you come with alot of smiles, stress and nooooo sleep for your new family with all the bottle feeding.Ruby my girl, even though you cant feed him, you are already an amazing mommy.

He got his placenta drip and all today at our amazing vets, and yes I just had to go with, lol.( no the drip was for the placenta IV, he is not in hospital)

O and this little boy is a Mule!!! Some lucky Jack donkie somewhere has a new son.

Welcome baby boy and my Ruby, Im so glad you both have an amazing new forever home

Goodbye Shadow Baby.
Its with a broken, heavy and sad heart that I have to do this post. We sadly had to say goodbye to Shadow on the 4th of October 2024.
Shadow arrived on the farm with a severe injury to is foot and leg and severe weight loss. With the help of our amazing vets, we did x-rays of his leg, found nothing broken but severe damage. Torn tendond and ligaments, old draining wound and lots and lots of pain.
We treated him everyday, tried everything, intensive feeding and all the love we could give.
But our Lord decided it was time for Shadow to go back and be an Angle horse. Shadow showed us it was time.

My sweet sweet gentle giant, we only had the pleasure to have you for a short while. I pray that in that time you felt the love and care you deserved.

Doing this work is hard, I will never get used to saying goodbye...

Story of Valentine

Since I was a little girl I have always wanted a donkie..last year June my dream came true when Valentine and Jack came all the way from Deben from an amazing rescue center Kalahari Heart Animal Welfare. My heart was filled...

I know one is never to have favourite child, but Valentine stole my heart, in means I could never explain to anyone.

After some months he started to drop weight and condition. I could not unders it. When he arrived we made an appointment for his teeth but after an hours struggle we could not do his teeth but all was good.

When I started to see the weight drop I had one of our amazing vets come and examine him, we sedated him a little bit and upon checking his teeth got a shock of our lifes to find out that he is far over 34 years old and had almost no teeth remaining. I immediatly started him on a Golden year dieet.

Months after now, still on his golden year dieet, all his grass mixes milled fine, additionals supplements, tests and vet checks, we just cant get his weight and condition back up again.

He is happy, we are letting our old boy enjoy his old days doing whatever he wants to do, rolling in the fine plaster sand mommy got him, sleeping whenever he wants to for how long he wants to, chasing grandma an Mia down for whatever might be in their hands, enjoying his " room service meals" 6 times a day, resting his head either on mommies lap or even my bum when Im standing...lol

Valentine, you stole my entire heart and soul with just being you...my old baby with his old burn wounds to his bum. You have had a rough time, neglected,burned by people, mistreated, but then found amazing people who treated your wounds, loved you and the gave me the pleasure and time to love you and feel what true love is that one can only find from animal children.

Babt boy, I will aways love you, even after you go, you will always be my heart child. Thank you Valle for being mine.

Sweet Pixie and Mango

Pixie found the most amazing forever home!!! Her new forever human is a little girl and her family. Pixie has a huge farm that she can spend her days on with 2 other friends and even a dam for a little dip on our hot days..I miss your sweet little ears and those eyes everyday baby girl, but Im so so happy you have your new forever home.

Mango also found her new home, some of you that has been on the farm and knows Mango, would know we have had some words with each other ( lol ) but non te less I loved this girl so so much, when everybody gave up on her I kept on fighting for her. Even after a bite or two and some blue knees I received from her, I knew she would find an amazing home. Her new daddy came to collect her on Sunday and she has 2 new great horsy friends.

Loves you girls always!!!

Marshmallow and Frisco!!!
As per one of my previous posts, not all the fur babies on the farm are MM rescues, some of the animals where here before we started as my own animals, but they are still part of the MM farm!!!
Some time ago I got 5 mini horses, Marshmallow, frisco, Winter, Pyp and Koda.
When I decided it was time to start adoptions, I had to not only look at our rescue Animal children, but also at the others, we all do our part. I had a lady, we will call her "new mommy" that wanted Marshmallow and frisco since they arrived. And one day I decided that my two girls will have another amazing life at their new mommy.
These two ladies are treated as the queens they are, their stall room has fans, a radio, soft bedding and even their " new mommies" chairs so that she can sit with them...
And then I got the best news ever last week friday!!! Frisco is pregnant, somehow our old man Pyp must have eaten something ( lol )that assisted him on his old age of 28 years to make a new little angel!!!

We are so excited Frisco, cant wait to see the little nibble in 4 months time

The day of Adoption!!!!

Over the last month I came to realize that it will never be possible for me to give all the fur children a forever home with us, no matter how hard I try. We show them all the love we have, get them healthy, heal their wounds, give them all the food and treats they want and need, and then the day comes when we have the privilege to find them the most amazing possible home with a new family that would love and respect them.
But as some of you know me by now, this has always been subject I have run away from. The thought of my Fur babies going to a new home broke me, the tears everytime, the wonder, the waiting for updates and pictures to know if they arrived safe just had me running for the hills.
But the time has come for MM to start with adoptions so we can help more babies in need.
Some of the fur babies will always remain at MM due to age, medical issues, old injuries ect, they will retire and be with us to say goodbye when their adopted brothers and sisters find their amazing new homes.

We would like to welcome Ruby to our farm. Ruby had a rough past but O boy she was adopted by the sweetest lady that took her in and got this girl back to health. Unfortunatly Ruby had cancer in her eye and her eye had to be removed. But now she is doing sooo amazing due to her owner that took such good care of her. Her Mommy had to move and could not take Ruby with her and contacted us for a forever home for Ruby. Thank you for trusting us with Ruby Welcome stunning lady!!!

On the 3rd of November an amazing young group of volunteers of BGA came to assit us on the farm for the day, what a joy!!! You guys are just stunning young souls. Thank you so much for all the help, the laughs and the care for the animal residents..lots of love to you all
