Thank you for the wonderful wine tasting experience! 🍷👌 The service, wines and wine-knowledge presented were exceptional. Paired with breath-taking panoramic views of Table Mountain and Lion's Head, this winery really has everything done right!
Our biggest wine recommendations are all the Sauvignon Blancs (tank and barrel fermented, and Noble Late Harvest), plus the final red wine in the tasting line-up - incredible Bordeaux blend Rubaiyat 🍇

A bit more about our Croatia wines vs Haskell wines tasting & dinner! 🇭🇷 🇿🇦🍷Event was organised beginning of the June by .masterclass and in Stellenbosch, South Africa 😊 We have tasted eight different wines and paired them with food special made by Longtable restaurant. Croatian wines that Matija Lesković (from Basewent wine masterclass) presented, came from some of the most renowned Croatian wineries: 🍇🇭🇷 Haskell's wines have been poured side-by-side to Croatian wines to put each other to test! Exciting and fun dinner was guaranteed.

Looking back with a smile on the Croatian wines vs Haskell wines - Food & Wine pairing event we have hosted beginning of June 🇭🇷 🇿🇦 🍷 .masterclass (Matija Lesković) and created together unforgettable wine&dine experience for 40 guests who attended the event. 🙌 Some of the best Croatian wines were tasted side-by-side with exquisite Haskell wines from Stellenbosch. 🍇 To make this event even more special, has created the Croatian-inspired 5-course menu to pair it with the wines. The positive feedbacks, laughs and good vibes from all our guests proved that this was success!

Thank you for the spectacular Grenache Noir vertical tasting! 🍷🙌 2015 & 2016 vintages are possibly the best expression of a Grenache Noir we've came across in Stellenbosch so far 🍇 Both vintages are still bursting with rich dark cherry and black currant jam aromas, with silky tannins and freshness even after 5 years. These GN-s won our true admiration! ❤

We've tasted yesterday special 2009 Dombeya Chardonnay from in Stellenbosch and what a nicely aged wine it is! 🙌 Despite 12 years of age it still offers surprisingly fresh aromas of ripe toffee apple, caramel with hints of mango and pineapple. The Chard coats pleasantly mouth with rich creamy and oily taste leaving aromas of ripe apple, vanilla and hint of lemon zest. Absolutely delicious! 😊

From there it has found its way to Italy 🇮🇹 where is called ''Primitivo'' and California 🇺🇸 where it got its most famous name ''Zinfandel''.

What are happiness and gratitude? ❤🙏 This is how we feel when our dear guests take a 1-hour drive from Cape Town to attend the Stellenbosch Icon Wine Masterclass... and tell you afterward they have really enjoyed the wine tasting experience! 🍷😊 Our last group came with many questions about wines and they've learned a lot about various (wine) subjects. We have discussed differences between grape varieties and wines, how to recognise them, and many other wine-related "mysteries"! 🍇 It pleases us to see our guests being completely relaxed in asking us questions while enjoying the view, tasting delicious food and incredible wines! You're wondering what wines we are serving at out Stellenbosch Icon Wine Masterclass? 🍷 Let us just mention that .co.za 's astonishing Chenin Blanc in part of the line-up ;) This boutique Chenin is made by two very talented and passionate people: winemaker (Stephanie Wiid) and viticulturist (Dr. Etienne Terblanche). Etienne sources grapes for this wine from a super-small vineyard parcel in Stellenbosch of ONLY 0.3ha!!! After pressing grapes, Stephanie takes only free-run juice for a natural fermentation in old French oak barrels!
