A performer's life essentially has two parts:
1) the dazzling centre of attention, the love from the crowds, the swirl of excitement. Backstage fun and silliness, spoiled with great food and open bars, and treated like princesses.
And 2) the keeping fit, flexible, eating right to be in shape, tanned, practiced, mending/washing costumes/props, planning for shows, admin and organising, communicating with clients, proactively packing for last minute gig changes.

Ashleigh's music career started with childhood piano lessons and progressed to her real passion - drums. Starting drumkit lessons at age 14, she played in cover bands most of her late teens and early 20s, included in productions such as The Eric Clapton Tribute Show. Djing has been a natural progression to a more mature beat and music appreciation.

Ashtag mixes house, funk and lounge with commercial reproductions of top-chart releases. She DJs frequently for private and corporate functions as well as for various clubs and restaurants around Cape Town. She is available internationally.

Ashleigh is also part of a DJ Duo called 'Double Vision', where matching costumes and LED lights give an exciting performance feel to their sets.
