In 2022, at least one child was reported missing every five hours in South Africa, with child kidnapping, abductions and human trafficking increasing at an alarming rate each day.

We are miserably failing our children!

Joslin's story began on an ordinary Monday when her mother, Kerry, entrusted her daughter to the care of her boyfriend before heading back to work at noon. Wearing a light blue T-shirt and denim shorts, Joslin, identifiable by a distinctive birthmark on her right arm, was later seen walking with an unidentified boy or man – a sighting that has since fueled numerous search parties and investigations. This piece of information, coupled with the community's profound concern for her well-being, has transformed Joslin's disappearance from a mere news item into a heart-wrenching narrative of fear, hope, and resilience.

KWFCDT teamed up with Kouga Local Municipality, Oyster Bay Wind Farm, Chris Milne Architecture, and Build It Jeffreys Bay to officially launch Phase Two of the Umzamowethu Retrofit Project! 🏘️🎉

The launch event which took place on Saturday, January 20th 2024 was graced by community members, beneficiaries, stakeholders, the Trust board members, and key project partners including Kouga Local Municipality, Chris Milne Architecture, Jeffrey's Bay Build It, and Oyster Bay Wind Farm. 🤝

Phase One of the project already renovated 12 homes, with Phase Two set to revitalise 87 more, making a much-needed difference in our communities. 🏠

KWFCDT thrives on building stronger, safer, and happier communities! 🌟🛠️👷‍♂️

40 years ago, this beloved school opened its doors. It’s a special day that reminds us of the journey, growth, and unity as a school family.
