Thank YOU
Now that we’ve recovered and have had our post event discussions, we’d like to take this moment to thank all our supporters, friends, service providers and venue partners for the efforts taken to ensure that the show goes on.
We had taken note of the probable rain pour as per weather forecast and made provision for two waterproof sitting areas in addition to the 2x existing ones the venue provides, but did not anticipate that type of storm. We share this video to highlight how the area had been set up before the storm (our best looking set up by far).
We were dealt a huge blow on the day just after the first Dj started warming things up, besides the event revenue, also we lost approximately R15000 worth of event and marketing equipment due to the storm, our electricity supply was severely reduced and we ended up with a hugely compromised set up which was very disappointing for us and surely to our supporters.
The aftermath was emotionally devastating; we had to work with whatever we had left, despite the persisting weather issues, our friends jumped in and assisted in rearranging things in an attempt to get the show back on.
On a positive side of things, people still braved the weather and stuck around, thank you for that. 💛
We will continue to relentlessly build this brand with whatever we have left and will take these lessons and school fees and growing pains instead of complete losses, we’ll get there.
The love you show us deserves to be celebrated; we are currently in discussions about hosting an appreciation event, if all goes well, we’ll make an announcement later today.
Rain delayed us a bit but we are almost there.
