Stephanie invited us to her home to come and see how the PlanetPartners - Aerospring SA hydroponic garden towers work and we were intrigued to say the least!

These incredible gardening towers are economically on space, a much better option for the environment and low maintenance and even offer a 30% yield increase in 50% less time than your conventional herb garden.

We harvested some beautiful, fresh greens and made a magnificent vegetarian mushroom pasta with our own version of a green goddess sauce.

What a feast with Whale Coast Mall and Outdoor Warehouse

A recent campaign in collaboration with Whale Coast Mall and Outdoor Warehouse turned into a turned into a festive day next to the ocean with new friends. We made a beautiful seafood potjie which we served with freshly baked bread made on the fire followed by delicious chicken roulade with a divine naartjie & tomato sauce which we then turned into chicken roulade jaffels for the kids (always use those leftovers!) and ended the day with a sunset espresso. What a way to spend a day 👌🌊🔥

Whale Coast Mall and Food Lovers Market are proud to be facilitating our first Little Baker Competition.

Children from 5-10 years old are invited to participate in this event

Date: 19 October 2024
Time: 10:00 to 12:00
Venue: Food Court | Whale Coast Mall | Entrance 2
Cost: R50 per entry

There will be 20 participants allowed in each category, who will each receive a sponge cake to decorate. There will be a winner for each category, with amazing prizes up for grabs!

Each participant will also receive a t-shirt, a chef's hat and a little goody bag, filled with treats.

Categories:
5-6 years | 20 participants (ONLY TWO SPOTS LEFT)
7-8 years | 20 participants
8-9 years | 20 participants
9-10 years | 20 participants

Please note that each participant will need to be accompanied by a parent and no child will be allowed to participate without a parent or a guardian present.

Also note that we will have a photographer and a videographer present on the day and consent forms will be provided, in terms of the POPI Act.

The proceeds of the event will go directly to the Stanford Hostel. The hostel assists learners from ages 8 – 13, whose parents do not have the means to assist them with school and hostel funds, to be able to go to school and have the education they require. There are currently 37 students accommodated at the hostel and any donations go towards the children and their care.
