Dullies Dogs are situated in Dullstroom and do phenomenal work in both the town of Dullstroom, and the neighbouring township of Sakhelwe. Their main focus is to educate pet owners of the importance of how to look after their animals correctly, such as inoculating, de-worming and most importantly sterilisation, of their pets to eliminate unwanted and unnecessary puppies and kittens, who generally end up abandoned!
On the 16th and 17th August 2022, 2 vets from Prolife in Nelspruit assisted with 14 sterilisations of both dogs and cats, 47 rabies vaccinations, 23 5-in-1 vaccinations, de-worming of 50 plus dogs and cats, 1 dew claw removal, 2 wound treatments and 2 other treatments. They also dipped for ticks and fleas.
Dullies Dogs try and organise 2 sterilisation drives a year. They receive no government assistance and do all their own fund raising, as well as rely on public donations. They have raised R348 125.63 for 39 868 causes, with the help of 44 140 Cause Champions.
