Gatherings at social events are limited to 250 persons or less in case of an indoor gathering and 500 persons or less in case of an outdoor gathering. In the gazette, Kubayi-Ngubane confirmed that weddings and other events are permitted under the level 1 lockdown, subject to existing health and safety regulations.

“Attendance at a venue for a wedding, exhibition or any other function is limited to 50% of the capacity of the venue with a maximum of 250 persons at an indoor venue and a maximum of 500 persons at an outdoor venue,” she said.

In the light of South Africa's response to the COVID-19 disaster, our industry has seen a sudden, and necessary, cancellation of events across the entire country.
From weddings to music concerts and everything in-between, the effect of this drastic action is affecting the sound and events industry very severely - there will be companies, DJ's and sound engineers that may not survive the recession, depending on how long it lasts.
For those who still have smaller events planned; whether it be a small intimate wedding, a corporate meeting or seminar, give us a call for your sound and lighting needs.
