Ntokozo Zwane, also known as Kozo Zwane, is a performing artist from Johannesburg, currently based in Cape Town. Currently rooted in the medium of music, he practices in a variety of genres. He is heavily influenced by folk writing, South African Jazz and AmaZioni. His music is grounded by and in prayer. His love for sonic experimentation has led him to the scoring of international films, making music for theatre productions Of Loss and Poet-O-Type by Theatre Duo. He has performed on a variety of stages in and around Cape Town and Johannesburg including the Baxter theatre, alongside acts such as Muneyi and Kujenga. In the past, his performances included choral work from vocal ensemble Buyambo but, 2024 has seen him take on more solo shows. You don’t want to miss this one!

This quartet is a collaborative force of talented musicians, each bringing their own flair to the vibrant sounds of Cape Jazz! With trumpeter Muneeb Hermans, whose influence in the Cape Jazz scene is undeniable, alongside piano virtuoso Blake Hellaby, renowned for his teaching
at UCT and his mastery of jazz keys, the band is set to ignite stages with their infectious energy.
Adding depth to the ensemble is bassist Schalk Joubert, celebrated for his fusion of West African Grooves with the soulful essence of Cape Jazz, and drummer Pascal Haas from Germany, bringing his international jazz experience to the South African stage.

Katemba is more than just a musical collective; it’s a platform for artistic expression and collaboration, where every member is encouraged to contribute their unique voice. Come join us on a musical journey filled with excitement, innovation, connection, and plenty of groove!

Zukiswa The Singer is a vibrant jazz Singer born and raised in the streets of Gugulethu she started music in primary school singing choral music, when she discovered she had a passion for music she joined her uncle, who was also a musician and had the first township jazz school in Gugulethu. Her uncle Pokies Klaas groomed her and been her mentor till she was matured enough to stand on her own. She has worked with a lot of local musicians and and celebrity Singers like Phinda Mtya, Linomtha linoh, William Gets, Thembi Mamputha, Simphiwe Mathole and many more as both lead and a backing vocalist she then worked with Vukuhambe jazz band, her current band and is now embarking on her solo gigs as she still wanna grow further in the industry.

Zukiswa’s sound is versatile from blues, afro jazz, to amapiano and she sure knows how to shake everybody off their feet. Follow her on her new projects and you will definitely have a ball!
