On April 6th, a fierce storm hit Cape Town, whipping up wind gusts that topped 100 km per hour. Sami and Jess were all set to have their wedding in a beautiful marquee on a mountain in Stellenbosch.

Set up had commenced, the tent had been erected and suppliers were briskly working to bring the couple’s eagerly anticipated wedding celebration to life.

But as the day went on, the forecast got worse, and it became clear that sticking to the plan might mean the wedding wouldn’t make it through the night. So, with a bit of quick thinking and a lot of teamwork, we shifted gears. Everyone pulled together to move the entire setup to a more secure space.

This stands as a testament to resilience and communal spirit of our industry, crafting a happy ending against the odds.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this happen. It turned out to be a fantastic day, and you’d never have guessed this was plan B!

So much attention to detail. From custom fabric print - applied to bar backs [visuals imminent] and wall hangings at dinner…..this thread running through to bridal gowns and guest favors. Custom trellis features inspired by Prada cafe…..patisserie reveals…..and breaking plates [Opa!]

Thank you and for the love you poured into this [the trellis design and paint colour was on point! 🙌 amongst many other things]

Thank you Heike for the gorgeous linen prints [you know how much I love having you on more than just floral] and as always, for delivering a floral wonderland - ultimately - always being there to capture it so beautifully.
