Flamingo View Estate
Kimberley, the City of Diamonds, is well-known for its gems and its rich history, but its other pink gems have also been present, but there really was not a safe and relaxing avenue of being able to see the beautiful Lesser and Greater Flamingo species. Local business associates decided to come together and create the opportunity for the Kimberley community and its tourists to see the Flamingos.
The construction of the viewing deck creates an even better spectrum of seeing and this is also boosted by the telescope that gives an up close glimpse of the day in the life of a Flamingo. After securing a viewing date, you get to see the wonder that is this majestic bird. The best times to see these birds are during the months February and August all the way through to November, peak time been September and October.
The facility also operates as an events venue. An all inclusive offer, customised for your needs and the type of event you want. We accommodate weddings, parties, anniversaries, as well as corporate and public sector functions.
