This night-time creature has adapted over time to create something new and unique to bring to our little community of South African trance goers. Gray Matter, or Graydon Fortuin, is a 30 year old psytrance producer and music enthusiast from Cape Town, South Africa. Over the last 5 years, He has focused down and worked on curating a psychedelic style that is truly unique and forward thinking. Musicality plays an important role in this young producer’s art - and it is evident in the melodic undertones and alien harmonic found inside his music 🛸.

That said - Gray Matter’s style of psytrance would be described as Night time / evening psytrance of the higher (150-160) bpm range - which focuses on funk, groove, rythm - and most importantly - musicality.

An array of musical influences can be heard inside his musical journeys - that’s anything from classical music to jazz - from drum n bass to tech orientated beats.

The Chaos Stage will be getting a BPM enhancement from 2 in the morning where one of our Front Right boys, Adenozine, will be bringing in the hitech for a two hour session of saturated sounds and gritty bass 🔊.

This speedy citizen will be sure to blast some beats so good It’d get your nan to step outta her wheelchair and oil those joints. Adenozine will be throwing down some more melodic and intention-based, hitechnological tunes for our lovely gathering this March. Ebb & Flow is the collaborative project of Matt Scrimgour (Parabolic Flow) & Tristen Henning (Voidwalker) hailing from Cape Town, South Africa. Having started our journey in February of 2017, we have since played at numerous indoor events & outdoor festivals alongside some of Cape Town’s finest psychedelic acts ⏳.

We focus on bridging the gap between styles, always striving for a hard-edged approach to our mixing style. From Ambient/Down tempo (Our Wub & Dub alias) to Dark Progressive, Full-on, Forest & Dark-Psy, we leave no stone unturned in terms of the psychedelic music in our arsenal. We firmly believe that light and dark cannot exist without each other and we have made it our mission to find the balance between these concepts, both in our music and through our sets ☯️.

Since our signing to Woo-Dog Recordings in 2018 we have released our first compilation “Bark & Bite” as well as our first track “Grove Groove” and we are currently working away at our next compilation as well as future track releases 🔊.

Amphitrax is my connection to the dance floor through music—a fluid extension of energy and rhythm, where frog=mc^2. From 130 BPM dark prog to 148 BPM nighttime psy, I stay versatile, like an amphibian thriving in both land and water, effortlessly adapting to my surroundings 🐸.

Parabolic Flow, the solo project of Matt Scrimgour (known for his work with Ebb & Flow), represents a captivating evolution in his musical journey. Initially driven by a deep passion for nighttime psychedelic and forest sounds, Matt started his DJing career by exploring and pushing the boundaries of Cape Town’s psychedelic scene with obscure and experimental tracks 🔬.

As time went on, he discovered a newfound appreciation for slower BPM music that still maintained the psychedelic essence he cherished. Embracing labels like Our Minds, Padang, Katayy, Pistolero, and Occulta, Matt began to experiment with slower styles such as Psy-tech, Dark Prog, and Forest Prog. “Garden of Eden” is the psychedelic project signed to Patronus records created by Adam Findlay.

Having grown up in the Midlands, Adam was exposed to sound systems and psychedelic culture from a young age. As an avid mountain climber, Adam spent his youth traveling through the forest’s of South Africa, climbing cliffs and telling camp fire stories. As time passed, his diet of free-range, organic beats and night skies led to the formation of Garden of Eden! This project now strives to tell camp fire stories through the deep, grimey basslines and surreal sound scrapes complemented by organic and driving leads to form a blend of Forest Psychedelic.

Adam has been on long and ongoing journey to find his true sound and is always experimenting with new sub-genres of forest and psychedelic sub-genres. Adam likes to adapt to the weather, the environment and the dance floor dynamics to achieve the ultimate flow status of the trance dance .
