Ek het nooit geweet wat beteken "Sela" nie. Gister geleer dis "pouse" , tyd vir asem skep. "Sela" sluit die vers so mooi af. Ons kan vertrou op Hom en ons harte uit praat want Hy is ons enigste toevlug waarop ons werklik kan staatmaak. Vat 'n pouse vandag...'n asem-skep-oomblik en laat die werklikheid insink. Mag jou week vol van Hom en vol van "Sela" wees.

Die verhaal van Nehemia, wat die mure van Jerusalem gaan herbou het, kan in ons eie lewe ingebring word: Partykeer voel jy ten gronde, gebreek, verwoes....maar jy kan jouself herbou deur leiding van ons Vader. Nes Nehemia en sy manne teëspoed gekry het van vyande, sal jy ook kry. Of mense sal jou probeer afraai om deur te druk en jou hopeloos te laat voel. Nes die Here Nehemia hulle beskerm het en moed gegee het, sal Hy vir jou ook doen as jy Hom vra.
