Welcome to the yummiest, friendliest corner of the internet – the home of the best caterers in Pretoria. Almost as much as we love celebrating, and almost as much as we love people. If you came over here to look for wedding, corporate or informal caterers in Pretoria, you sure came to the right place! We have been doing what we love for more than 15 years, and according to clients who know what th

ey are talking about we are quite good at what we do. They say they can taste our passion! Although we specialise in any function where food is served there are a few that we love doing more than others. Our favourites? Weddings, and any private cheffing occasion. Oh and tapas! We used to own the first tapas restaurant in Pretoria (possibly in Gauteng) and still love making those types of bites. We are the preferred caterers at a few stunning wedding venues – for more info on the venues as well as our offering there, send us an email so we can put you in touch with the right people. But – we also work at other venues, so if you find the venue we can do the food

We are a mother-and-daughter team who tackles life the same way as we tackle a function: with a relaxed attitude, a joke, and a welcoming smile. We treat our clients like family and friends, except they never have to help with the dishes. The Laughing Chefs Story, so far...

Laughing Chefs, brainchild of Mother and Daughter team Maggie & Esrida, was born out of necessity way back in 2009. Maggie was retrenched, and being a single mother with 3 kids in school or at University there was no sitting still. Maggie has always loved entertaining, and Esrida was interested in food and hospitality, and so Laughing Chefs was born. Initially we did catering, for both corporate as well as private clients, and this grew so fast that we had to start looking for premises from where we could work. Enter the restaurant and venue in Rietondale – we opened there in 2013, and would like to think that we were the first (albeit undocumented) tapas bar in Pretoria. The restaurant was mildly successful even though we received accolades and awards, but our venue, dinner theatre and art gallery was a roaring success. After 4 years there, we again burst out of our seams and had to make the difficult decision to pack up and relocate. Back to Pretoria East we decided, and so we moved to Tierpoort. This time, a venue that is sometimes a restaurant, as opposed to the restaurant that could also be a venue. Here, we have gone back to our roots – we serve Boerekos, with our signature twist, and in various forms. From sit down to tapas, buffet and platters, braais, spit, potjies, we do it all! But we still remain true to our style of homely, welcoming hospitality, with personalised attention and customisable services. We don’t have clients, we become family.
