What we do
Our aim is to make personal, emotional and unique wedding films which stand out by telling love stories that gives the viewer a glimpse at the personalities of the couple. We consider ourselves visual storytellers and believe every wedding film should tell a unique story – your story. People spend a lot of money on their wedding day and a wedding film is the best way to remember those
moments long after they’re gone. What we don’t do
If all you want is a straightforward video with just music playing over it and nothing else, we are not the right company to capture your special day. As visual storytellers, making a film with just images and music doesn’t interest us. It doesn't capture the atmosphere and feeling of the day. We want to make films that really reflect your wedding day in an authentic way. What we look for
We want to film authentic couples who are interested in helping us create a personal and unique wedding film. Couples who want to see real moments on screen and be excited to have us film their wedding day. You only get one shot at making a truly unique wedding film. Hi, I’m Kobus, the face behind Red Beard Productions.
I love Jesus, his church and my wife and am a suffering Manchester United fan.
My passion and primary goal is to capture your wedding in the most natural, unobtrusive way possible. If I had to define my style, I would say it leans towards a documentary style with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
I love capturing those candid, unplanned moments of your wedding day and only step in to give some direction if necessary.
My images are timeless and candid and reflect the emotion and feelings of the day, while my videos are elegant, driven by the energy and emotion of your wedding.

So, it’s been a long time since I have been active on this platform. Due to a variety of reasons I have neglected my business and failed to post regularly on social media.
A lot has happened in my life in the last 18 months. I’ve experienced heartbreak, lost my father to illness, and have struggled to cope with all the extra responsibility that has added to my life.
But after struggling with bouts of depression and battling severe procrastination, I feel finally ready to take on life again and give my business the attention and dedication it needs.
So I’m back, back again (just like the song) and ready to drive my business forward and make it a success.
A start will be to post regularly on here about my work and sharing the wonderful moments I have captured recently.

Hannah & Dominik | German elopement film
After nine years of dating and traveling together, Hannah and Dominik decided to elope and get married in Cape Town, Western Cape. The day started at their guest house in Simon's Town before a quick visit to Boulder Beach to see the penguins. We then made our way to the Slangkop Lighthouse in Kommetjie, Western Cape, South Africa where Hannah and Dominik said their vows before we filmed some epic drone shots of them. We finished the day at Scarborough Beach.
