Fun Facts!

* The very first Poems SHE Wrote was hosted on the 31st of August 2024, in Durban under a private company called USIBA MEDIA .

* Hosted under a zero budget, facilitators, coordinators worked voluntarily because they believed in the idea. Performers and logistics were paid through door takings and the sale of merchandise.

* In December 2020 Poems SHE Wrote Poetry Development was registered as an entity to host any poetry related initiatives related to Poems SHE Wrote & other concepts.

* Through Poems SHE Wrote the event, the Non-profit Organization has created over 50 employment opportunities in 2024 alone.

* In 2019 the event featured not only female poets but female fashion designers , and female comedians.

The 2nd Annual Poems SHE Wrote was a success. Siyabonga to the ladies for their presence. We thank everyone who performed on that stage, and the community of eMnambithi for attending. Siyabonga futhi to those who travelled long distances to come and attend, and to those who bought tickets in support of the initiative.
