The concept was born out of a need to connect varied ideas to a vast number of people and curate the cultural/ social experience via music, art, literature and all the creative industries has to offer. Kind Regards and others within the City of Cape Town (Ma Se Kind from within the Mother City); he organises and curates some of the most exciting and socially significant engagements within the Moth
er City and any other Southern African city (ask him about Links for Links & The Pipeline – should you dare)...
Although born and bred in Zimbabwe, Luke credits his love for conceptualising, creating, promoting and curating events to his appreciation of the vibrancy and infinite possibilities presented to him via his experiences of life in Cape Town – the constant references to the historical tones as they interact with the ever changing contemporary influences. Not wanting to restrict himself to any singular genre, Luke refers to himself as an open format DJ (if you don’t know what this means – Google it), and his specifically curated sets infuse various genres meticulously designed to test both the dancefloors and the assertion that patrons did not “skip leg day”. PLEASE (and this is a warning), do not tempt him with an Amapiano or Ol’ Skool Hip-Hop song request if you’re not willing to dance and sing along to it! Because as we all know, both genres are almost difficult to dance two with two left feet.
