I hope everyone is staying safe. With the kids at home, and working from home, this is a quick, easy and delicious lunch idea. Steak tramezzini
500 g sirloin steak cut into strips
1 tsp crushed garlic
1 tsp crushed green chilli
1 tsp salt
1 tsp course black pepper
1 tsp paprika
Cook the above in some olive oil .
Once done add some basil pesto to the steak and mix through.
For the tramezzini:
Tortilla wraps or multi grain wraps
French style Mayo
Grated mozzarella cheese
Red onion slices
Sliced salad tomatoes
Air fried chips
Rocket
To assemble
Smear Mayo on the wrap.
Add the rocket , steak red onion, chips and tomato slices.
Lastly add the cheese
Toast and serve while hot and cheesy

Seekh Kebabs
So easy - I always bake them in the oven for my mezze platters & they’re always hugely popular. Great for Eid breakfast, lunch or dinner.
You can also braai them - soak the wooden skewers in water before using them.
Recipe
500g lean beef mince
2 tsp of fresh crushed garlic
1 egg whisked
Half a white or red onion grated (squeeze out the liquid)
1 tsp ground coriander powder, 1 tsp ground cumin powder
1 tsp paprika, I tsp salt
Some course black pepper
Fresh finely chopped coriander
Fresh finely chopped parsley
Add 1 chopped green chillie if you want more heat
Mix the mince with all the ingredients. Grease your hands with olive oil. Shape the mixture onto bamboo sticks like long cigars. Lay the kebabs onto a greased baking tray. Drizzle or brush with olive oil & grill on 200 degrees Celsius for 20 min. Serve with lemon wedges, hummus, tzaziki, pita & oven baked chips

Sehri Series
Mango & coconut overnight oats.
I like overnight past because you can prepare it in advance & it tastes like dessert for breakfast!
This makes a large batch, which keeps in the fridge for two days.
Mango and Coconut Overnight Oats
500 g of double thick Yogurt
1/2 cup of coconut milk or full cream milk or almond milk
1/2 cup of rolled oats
1 tbsp of chia seeds
1 tbsp of grated fresh coconut or dessicated coconut (may be omitted)
1/2 cup of fresh or frozen mango cut into cubes
1 tbsp of honey
Method
Whisk together the milk and Yogurt & honey.
Add the oats, chia seeds & grated coconut - whisk.
In a mason jar add the cubed mango, then the oats mixture. Top with more mango & coconut & drizzle with honey
Refrigerate until ready to eat.

One pan saucy fish.
If you’re looking for a quick, healthy mid week dinner that packs a punch in terms of flavor, this dish is for you. I used pangasius fillets from @capefishbar , but I have also made this dish using their kingklip fillets. They have a wide variety of beautiful fresh frozen fish.
Serve it with plain basmati rice & sautéed spinach or broccoli. Add extra paprika to the sauce if you feel it needs it. I would say this quantity serves 2 to 3 adults. So double up if it’s for a larger family.
