Making Faces by Gerda As a bridal image consultant I manage the brides appearance to create a powerful first impression. A professional makeup artist is essential for your photos.

I’ve been a professional makeup artist since 2003 and I have seen a lot in those years. One thing I see too often is skipping hair and makeup services to save a little cash. I get trying to save money, I really do, but to get the most out of the money you are spending on a photographer, you need the pros before getting in front of that camera. You (or your BFF who loves makeup) most likely don’t have the knowledge or skills for on-camera makeup!

don't let the little details take away from the joy.

Instead of worrying about things you can’t control, focus on the things you can. Keep a positive attitude and trust that everything will work out beautifully, rain or shine.

Remember, at the end of the day, what truly matters is celebrating your love with your partner surrounded by your loved ones.

When you have your wedding makeup applied professionally, you should expect a decent wear time. I can assure you that your makeup artist will try their best to select suitable products for your skin type and use every trick in the book in the hopes of giving you all day perfection – BUT there are no guarantees that is why I like to see makingfaces brides before they leave for the couple shoot.
