long time no speak on here! my phone was apprehended by some people who felt they deserved it more and i have taken this long to redownload facebook.

here are some snaps of recent happenings!

my most favourite Loft gigs to date, one of which was the OSPFG takeover evening.

two very fun b2b’s with sir Hotboi for PlugCity Networks SA’s Soundtrack and MUUD’s The End.

a fun night of faster tunes for Nyctophilia at Mary Jane's Hacienda 420.

a most splendidly groovy evening of house at the beloved and no-longer-the-same Kitcheners Braam for Movement is Med.

a saturday of divine feminine energy at the new and lovely Off-Shore Party for Girls (the aforementioned OSPFG).

a lovely 4 and a half hour bo****lo closer. (wow wee)

and a most fun night in the garden for Underground Africa’s Sub Sequence.

none of which is in order of occurrence I’m afraid. again, follow me on Instagram for timely updates on my happenings. this is more of a photo journal and record keeping space.

beyond grateful for each and every opportunity. beyond blissful to genuinely be enjoying myself. beyond beef burger from hudsons.

Bo LeDev has a vibrant personality, which he expresses through the songs he chooses to listen to. “I have a really hard time deciding what I like to mix the best. I’m always on the lookout for baselines, noises, and melodies that inspire head nodding or hip-shaking from the audience. Being erratic is what I adore. i decided to ask my friend Sir LeDev, Mr Bo, GrandMaster Cheese to do a lil choonsday mix for me.

this decision was based largely on a recent set of his at Mary Jane's Hacienda 420 where he absolutely destroyed the place. (where mr cheese is a resident of The Loft)

outside of that set, i have always been inspired by him. back when i was first starting out, when we used to walk to school 7 hours before it started through the rain and snow, i spent a weekend learning from master cheese himself.

his determination, delicious tunes, and openness to share what he knows is something i find awe-inspiring. add to it his general disposition and you’ve got a recipe for a gem in our scene.

get yer fix.

this song is PURE HAPPINESS (even though the lyrics are rather intense if you really deep them).

i love it. i love her voice. i love the message. the piano. the drums. the harmonies in the beginning (is that the right word to use?).

this song is a sunday morning with your lover makin pancakes and eating them in the grass under the sun.

i really enjoy songs/art that have a juxtaposition between the literal meaning of the content vs the vibe that it’s being presented with.

happy listening
