A gloomy Saturday calls for nourishing and comforting cinnamon aromas to fill the house.

Wheat free, almond flour and oat, banana, apple cinnamon muffins sweetened with raw local fynbos honey.

Ons gaan nou braai!

Last night we had the honour to do a proper South African braai for our guests from the Netherlands.

It was such a beautiful evening filled with our delicious creations, good wine and good company.

We served mini Boerie rolls with our homemade Chakalaka to start.

Scrumptious sosaties were made with free range chicken, marinated in a beautiful curry sauce, with local dried peaches and red onion, followed by free range Sirloin dry rubbed with Andre's favorite homemade dry rub with red pepper, red onion and finished off a garlic butter!

On the side we served Pap with wild sage and rosemary smoked tomato relish, Broccoli, bacon and cheese salad and a garden salad with Hibiscus flower petals and a raw honey mustard dressing.

Dessert was a trio of Melktertjies, Malva pudding bites and my favorite Fynbos koeksisters.
