Sugar Coated Cakes SCC creates custom designed, handcrafted edible works of art. Specializing in Wedding Cakes. Fashion Designer turned Dream Wedding Cake Baker.

Each wedding cake is a unique masterpiece specifically created with the bride and her dream wedding in mind. I chose cake, fondant and sugar flowers over fabric and lace, but still get to use my design background as inspiration to create fashion-forward edible works of art. l. With over 20 decadent cake flavours and fillings to choose from, I can assure that your wedding cake will taste as good as it looks. All cakes are baked fresh, from scratch with good quality ingredients, and no premixes or synthetic additives used. All cake tasting samples are made to order and NO cakes are kept in the freezer. Cake tasting orders need to be ordered and paid for by Wednesday to be collected on Friday or Saturday (when possible). All cake flavours are available as an egg-less option. Congratulations 🎊 are in order if you got engaged during the festive season!
Our 2025 bookings are open, and some weekends are already fully booked and closed- I will be updating this info on our schedule on WhatsApp later today.
If you have set your wedding date already, please book service providers in advance to avoid disappointment.
And on a serious note, please be mindful and realistic of the venue that you choose.
* distance for service providers to travel
* air conditioning/ventilation and shade, especially during summer/hot weather.
* Do a site visit to the venue so you have an actual idea of the look and feel of the venue during your wedding.
* Some venues are perfect during autumn and winter but are not equipped to handle the extreme heat of our summer months.

Dear brides and grooms to be,

Before the shopping frenzy starts, don't forget to pay your wedding service providers, pay your booking deposits, and get the large budget items off your to-do list.
There is no joy in wedding planning under money stress circumstances.
Starting married life in financial debt is a killer!

And if you are going shopping, make sure it's an absolute must-have bargain!
Do price checks online and cross-check other stores that stock the same items. Don't be fooled by a "sale", most retailers increase the original price and then add the discount, so you might end up paying more or just the normal price. Be a smart shopper 😁
