MEET THE TEAM - Olivia Degenaar (Design)

Olivia is talent personified. Her art, design and overall creativity give us the ability to bring your vision to life in new and exciting ways while her enthusiasm and love of life are completely infectious. As the newest member of our team, Olivia has had to hit the ground running, but she has certainly found her niche and the place where she fits. She is also one who never declines having her photo taken with a celeb ;)

MEET THE TEAM - Stefan Vos (Broadcast & Technical)

It would be difficult to find someone more pedantic than Stefan. If over thinking was an art form, Stefan would be a grand master. These skills make him the perfect fit to manage our projects both before the event, and on the day. He does however come with a caution, never ask him to perform a task around any of his daily meals. Stefan eats more meals a day than an average Hobbit, and with as much relish.

As the leader of the pack, Georgie is dedicated to keeping us all in line and making sure that we deliver on our promises. With over 15 years in the event industry and a very low tolerance for nonsense, Georgie truly is a force to be reckoned with. She really does love us all, but she would never admit it out loud! Also, don't talk to her until she has had her cup of tea!

MEET THE TEAM - Velicia Sintu (Branding and Logistics)

Heading up a branding team is no easy feat, with hundreds of moving parts, crew logistics and planned activations across the country. All of this would lead you to believe that Velicia would be far more stressed than she is. With an incredibly sunny disposition, a ready smile and a gentle energy, Velicia is as dependable as they come. Velicia is also one of our shareholders and is learning to navigate managing and owning a business from grassroots upwards.

MEET THE TEAM - Sian Brown (Operations)

Sian is bossy, she is demanding, she is pushy, and she is perfect. Heading up our office project team, Sian can generate as many emails in a day as Nicky can print documents. Keeping all the threads going, all the admin flowing as well as keeping us informed, requires a special kind of skill. Sian and Nosi integrate seamlessly to keep the wheels turning.

MEET THE TEAM - Nosi Kitshini (Admin and Branding)

There are many words we could use to describe Nosi, but quiet would not be one of them. When Nosi walks into a room we all know long before her bubbly personality arrives. Nosi is part of the office bound team, making sure that our logistics are kept ticking over and that we all know where to be and when. Whatever you do, do not call her by her full name - Nosipho!

If enthusiasm was a person, it would be Nobantu. Her passion for what she does is truly infectious and her energy at our events is almost limitless. Nobantu is one of the longest standing members of the Siyanda team and as a shareholder in the business, she is our hope for our future sustainability. Also affectionately known as "Mayor Zonke".

No one really knows how to quantify Jonathan. By the same token, none of us really know what he does. He is, supposedly a creative director which means that he spends much of his day staring off into space and pretending to work, or his new passion which is launching himself into the depths of AI and Chat GPT.

MEET THE TEAM - Nicky Kennedy (Event Production)

Nobody really understands what Nicky does, how she does it or where she keeps all the information that fills her head. Events are driven by meticulous planning and although Nicky prints more paper per event than most will print in a lifetime, she knows exactly where each piece is, and what each one is for. Before, during and after every event, Nicky keeps all the wheels turning, makes sure the guests are happy, the crew is fed, the clients are well-taken care of, and most importantly, she sees to it that what we promise, we deliver. She is our little pocket-rocket!

Last week we had the honour of assisting our new CSI initiative at their School Learners Workplace Programme. It truly made our hearts swell to see so many Learners join us for hands-on workplace experience in plumbing, hospitality, construction, digital literacy and more. We had a fantastic day yesterday with keynote addresses from Momentum Metropolitan Group CEO, Jeanette Marais as well Hannes van den Berg, the Executive Head of Momentum Advice, Mike Stopforth (speaking on Digital Disruption) and Pieter Bosman, Head of Digital Excellence Momentum Advice.
